**Official Lil Wayne Thread ** **No Ceilings 2 drops Thanksgiving**

No Ceilings being considered a classic makes me feel like that word is just thrown around these days
mean.gif
it is tho...top 10 mixtape of the last decade

If no ceilings is a classic then I've been doing it wrong this whole time. Rich forever is what I'd consider a classic mix tape... No ceilings doesn't come close to some **** like that man. Dudes just wanted Wayne to be the best rapper that bad.

I was listening to the old sq tapes a few weeks ago. Smh dude was legit good, shame what happened after c2 man.

I just listened to No Ceilings after Dedication 2, and the drop off was real. After putting out Tha Carter 3 and Dedication 3, this was definitely a bright spot, but to call this a classic now is wild. Single is still in the rotation and what he did to Oh Let's Do It is absolutely disgusting.

the flow was impeccable in those songs ......i say ti hold ya head , and mack hold ya head ....wish i could but i cant say some otha names cuz of the feds

im all over this ice cream beat like spranklessss

i mean my dude was talking about "pistol on my hip , tomb raider"
No ceilings was the last exceptional Wayne project. That should be left as a stand alone testament to what once was.
Idc what anyone says no ceilings is FIRE. And classic status.
This is why rap sucks today.

Yo i dont think i got No Ceilings in my top 20 mixtapes of the past 5 years. Theres a reason Lil Wayne stopped calling himself Best Rapper Alive after awhile...

Shouldn't have started calling himself that in the first place

Wish I could find all the posts where I answered this question, but here's one from last year

Why do you spell wayne like that ??
:lol

Doesn't deserve to have his whole name spelled, was a little bit better than mediocre even in his "prime", and has been on remedial auto-pilot since about 2009, and I don't even think that's on purpose. I applaud him for at least giving some semblance of effort on D5 and that last Drake song though.

I feel as if Wayne still has it in him, but he's just lazy now. Glory had me thinking he was gon start being serious again.

Glory was a cool track for what it was. But the song was an incoherent mess full of "I'm the ****" metaphors.

"Heart Races On" I saw a flash but I'm convinced that that it was an old track from a bygone era.

I'm not gonna lie I chime in to every Wayne thread around release time cuz yal dudes do this thing every year. Idk if its a low key who can post the corniest bar from this tape contest or u really think the **** is fire but I always get a chuckle. Dudes start quoting bars with smoking emojis or shocked or fire emojis then lines like "I'm the **** so I live in the sewer" [emoji]128552[/emoji][emoji]127755[/emoji] "I'm so high, I saw Stevie wonder ribbon" [emoji]128561[/emoji] "eat the ***** like a number 8...(ugly laugh) no tomatoes"

Pop that from no ceilings was the last beat I heard from cool and Dre.... Where the hell are they???

And no ceilings was a classic

no ceilings is and will forever be a classic bruhs please stop eating so much sodium

In my opinion, No Ceilings is a classic. I can still bump that mixtape once a week. This is why I'm mad at him for making  a sequel to it. Lil Wayne hasn't been worth anything in a while so I just know NC 2 is going to be mediocre to trash.

I remember the 1st time I heard No Ceilings. Me & my frat bros had went to Memphis to pick up another one of our frat bros & he had the mixtape on a CD. We played that ish from Memphis all the way back to Mississippi Valley State University. 2 hours of that mixtape on repeat & we didn't get tired of it.

I can listen to acid rap and still bump it once a week. Doesn't mean it's a classic

Dude spent like 5 years slinging literal poop metaphors that his fans would piss themselves over. I couldn't believe back in college hearing all that trash and it took people damn near a decade to realize he was never saying anything. Last tolerable Wa_n_ was Like Father Like Son. Nice beats, pretty good features and Birdman keeping Wa_n_ from aimless 300 bar raps.

The classic word man smh. I listen to asap Jim Jones album at least once a month, and that **** ain't a classic. But hey whatever who am I to tell y'all how sack that **** was. Will be back when part 2 drops to laugh at the bars when ya post em. Plz don't disappoint.

I wouldn't go that far no ceilings is more than tolerable
