people spend THEIR money on what they like.. having a nice car brings about balance? how so? high car note and insurance.. a cars purpose is to get you to from point A to B... as long as its reliable, and you can perform 80% of the maintenance, trust me thats all you need.. 90% of people run out to get nice/expensive cars to impress others, and most cant afford the bills that come with them. i'll gladly spend 7k on a old honda, and drive and maintain that, while spending my money on other things that i truly enjoy

Was at Nike Chicago earlier. Asked about the pack and they were being really secretive about it. Decided to ask different employees, some said it completely sold out, others saying they can't release any info on it.

its really no argument that can be made, but its not about "needing" high end anything shoes, electronics, clothes, cars etc... all are "wants"... im simply stating of our wants, we spend in accordance to what we personally deem important to us.. we shouldn't criticize someone on how they choose to spend their money on their wants..
now on the backend.. if they're spending money, and their needs, and responsibilites are not being taking care for the sake of owning a pair of sneakers... than they are idiots.. and i believe thats what the original post was aiming for, but using a car as an point was not a good one..

Paypal doesn't report you to the IRS unless you sold over 20k AND 200 transactions. You could flip quite a bit before reaching that. When I sold most of my Jays years ago, I was over 20k but under 200 transactions, so paypal didn't snitch me out

the biggest diffrence betwen a car and this pack is I can find a car for below MSPR and possibly invoice and I am not paying more then that. to get this pack you have to pay 10xRetail to get these shoes.
but as I say to each there own. If you want it that bad and have the desposible income to spend go for it, YOLO baby!

dont get it twisted bro, my beef isnt with retail price on the box, its with bonehead consumers that value a particular sneaker soooo much that they will drop 500-5k above retail for it? but like ol' boy said, its not my money...so whoever is willing to drop the $, knock yourself out. it will never be me, i promise you that.
And I'll gladly spend 1k on this pack. While I said there are two shoes in the pack, this is not a general release as all of us know. every one has their own personal valuation of each sneaker they own and what is a good indicator is what they are willing to spend or sell them for. It's funny that this is mentioned when 95% of the people in this thread said they wanted to resell and not keep them for themselves. I actually like the shoes and I have a price I'm willing to pay for shoes I like. That's what it's come to. You can sit around all day and ask why people are paying these prices but nothing is going to change at this point.
