I was wondering the same thing...early KD sneakers (I - IV) only had forefoot cushioning, so I'm surprised to see this setup. I remember that the designer Leo Chang said KD is always on his toes and doesn't need anything in the heel, though that could have just been a way of justifying having no heel airbag and keeping the shoe under $100. Will be interesting to see what options there are on iD. I think this is a decent looking shoe, but not worth 150+ if they're not comfortable.
