Official iPhone: RIP Steve Jobs.. Jailbreak Avail for 5.0(Page 1)

Itunes will only let me restore and update at the same time. Is that safe? I have jailbroken iphone 3g. Also will I lose my contacts and my text messages if Irestore and update to 2.2?
 
My iphone has a message up saying "REPAIR NEEDED" iphone can't send or receive calls right now... and now it has a connect to itunes screen up,but when I try to do it it says that it can't connect...

Any suggestions?
 
Soooooo basically I woke up Sunday night and my phone was plugged into my computer but it hadn't charged. I remember the night before I think I dropped itand kept getting that "This accessory cannot be used with the iPhone" message even though I wasn't trying to use anything. Now, the phone hasdied and I have tried so many different methods but NOTHING is charging my phone. Has anyone else had this problem? Before the thin red line used to come upsaying to charge it, but now I don't even get that. Nothing is working and I'm willing to do anything.

Also, my phone is NOT the 3G and is currently not under warranty so do I even have any other options besides buying another phone off the Buy/Sell Forum orsomehting?
 
Was anyone using the mobile scrobbler before the update to 2.2? I was and it worked fine before but now it's not putting the logo in the top right corner,nor is it scrobbling my music that I play. I've un-installed and re-installed about 4 times.

2. tap manage at the bottom
3. tap sources
4. tap edit on the top right.
5. tap add on the top left.
6. type http://cydia.hackulo.ushttp://cydia.hackulo.us
7. then tap hackulo.us
8. install installous

Try using "scrobble" its the one that has its own Icon at the homescreen
 
Ok, I'm about to upgrade my jailbroken/unlocked Tmobile iPhone to 2.2, I currently have 2.01, but a few questions before I start

Is the best (or only) program out right now Quickpwn? Also Im about to upgrade using a PC that I don't use, Im only gonna use this PC because im not homeand this one is here, so will this affect my upgrading to 2.2? Will I lose any of my iPhone files? Also for those who have upgraded to 2.2 and have Tmobile anybugs or errors you've notice so far?

A lot people are having trouble with downloading from safari. I've found that the only downloading site that doesn't give me any trouble is sendspace.If there's a sendspace link for the app you're trying to download try it.

I lost my files because I think I restored first, then updated

, but just back up your iPhone in iTunes and then update, and you will get theconnect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, then run QuickPwn, look at this link to find a tutorial to guide you through the whole process.

I'm on T-Mobile and everything is running nice and smooth, no problems.

EDIT: Do I have to re-unlock or re-jailbreak when upgrading to 2.2?
 
Another question (I hate asking questions, makes me feel like an idiot, ugh), but when I "update" instead of "restore", do I hold down"shift" and click update so I can install the 2.2 ISPW?
 
Anyone know of any other custom sources/repositories worth
adding besides cydia.hackulo.us? I think I have an old list of
sources/repos I printed out when 2.1 firmware first was re-
leased but I'll have to look for it. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Quick question, when I updated to 2.2, I lost SwirlyMMS and Cycorder, no big deal, I can just redownload them, but what about my MMS that I had and myvideos I had in Cycorder, are they lost forever? I did backup my iPhone before I updated, do I have to backup to get them back?

No problem, the video's from Cycorder are only able to be backed up if you SSH, and saved them on your computer and then re-copied them back.

I just re- d/ln SwirlyMMS and Cycorder, they retain all my messages and videos, so I never lost anything! Awesome

Do I need to restore on iTunes BEFORE I jailbreak 2.2, or can I just go through and jailbreak with 2.2 firmware and go through that way?
 
^^^^^its the smart thing to do id do that rather then take chances of it freezing ot anything like that BTW whats a good app for MMS or sms? Not tryin to pay15 for an app when the phone should be able to send/recieve pictures
 
Has anyone downloaded and played UNO from the appstore?
