Nothing official yet. They have the upper hand on Smyth, Edmonton backed off for now.
I mean, Smyth is not your typical 35 year old, but he's not worth 6 million per either. Won't make sense for him to go to a rebuilding team like Edmonton, but then again, he asked to go there.
EDIT: Supposedly the deal is done, and he's going to Calgary. Will probably be announced at the draft, since the Kings will get back a 4th and 5th round pick. We'll see.
Still doesn't make sense for Calgary, who doesn't have much cap room.
