Disappointing end to a fun season but the better team won

what do you guys think about the rangers from an outsider perspective
im a big fan and so are my friends.
theyre way more optimistic than i am.
i think this team played way above their talent and leaned on a fantastic igor and a got lucky with kreider having a outlier of a career year. i think their window is smaller than people think because their top talent guys are much older than the young and the timing is about 3 years for them to both be good
with that being said i thought they would be swept by carolina after barely beating a pittsburgh team with a third backup

This year they were definitely propped up by Shesterkin and Kreider having seasons that probably won't be replicated. The advanced stats say they really weren't that good of a team.
Going forward it's all going to come down to the young players. They need Kakko and Lafreniere and Schneider to take the next step and become legit top of the lineup players sooner rather than later.

yea im not sold on the young kids
i do give credit where its due and lafreniere has probably been one of the best players on the ice for them these playoffs.
kakko has had his moments too but i dont think hell ever play up to his 2 overall draft selection.
if im being honest i dont think lafreniere will either. i look at guys like zegras, hughes, stutzle and i just dont see laf being better than those guys
i do like schneider and i think miller has probably been their best player this entire post season
but i worry that by the time these kids develop, our guys like panarin, kreider and zibanajed will be on the wrong side of their prime

After seeing the Panthers get absolutely steamrolled by Tampa, I wonder if there’s less shame and pain for the Leafs knowing they had Tampa on the ropes that series.
Anyhow. I don’t see the Rangers or Hurricanes beating Tampa four times in a best of 7. I just realized that this Lightning team is the first back to back champ to advance past the second round of the playoffs since the 80’s islanders who won 4 in a row.

Punching above our weight at the moment. Kreider is never going to score 50 again
. Kakko is a bust. Jury is still out on laff I think he’ll work out as 20-25 goal scorer per year in the next 2-3 years. K’andre is a stud. Schneider will be good. I’m a big fan of Othmann in the OHL. Physical kid that can actually score and pass hopefully his game translates to the nhl. Korczak will be solid bottom 6 c either next year or the year after. Igor is gonna stay a top goalie in the league for years so at least we have that. Will be interesting summer we have some assets to trade

Bad things happen when the Avalanche are on the cusp of the conference finals.
