The Valiant reboot won't have any of the Gold Key properties (Dark Horse currently holds the rights to them so you won't ever see Magnus, Turok, or Solar) So far what they have lined up for the summer is X-O (which just came out), Harbinger in June, Bloodshot in July and Archer & Armstrong in August.

Tod McFarlane?  Idk, he could be, I really havent heard anything from him recently.  But im pretty sure he created Venom for Marvel, and then left so he could create and own Spawn.

Check out Alan Moore's run on Swamp Thing from the mid to late 80s, also his work on Supreme was worth reading just for how he broke down the super hero genre and turned what was really a crap comic into something worth picking up.

If Thanos is going to be the villain in the next movie, what will they do with Hawkeye, Black Widow and Captain America? In the Marvel U there is a very short list of people who are even remotely in the same league as Thanos, ie: Adam Warlock, Galactus, Phoenix, Silver Surfer at his peak, The Beyonder, and maybe a couple others. I can see Thor, Hulk and Iron Man fitting into the story, but the scale becomes a little too big for the other heroes. Also, if you are going to do a Thanos story, you HAVE to include ATLEAST the Silver Surfer

Spoiler [+]
They could nerf Thanos' power level for the movies or they could have just the heavy hitters face him while the lower level guys battle his cronies. They could also introduce devices like the .

Plus, it'll be out after another round of superhero movies which could introduce a thousand other things (Heart of the Universe, Ultimate Nullifier, Mandarin's rings, Odinsword etc...

I really think the Avenger's in the second movie are going to be a much more powerful team.

The thing about him is he's not just powerful, he's also smarter than all of them. His mind is his most powerful weapon. There'd need to be a reason why he was outsmarted as well.

I wanted to pick up that Calvin and Hobbes book set, but the binding on the set was terrible. My 26 year old copies of the original books have held up better than a friend of mine's copy of the complete calvin and hobbes.

Calvin and Hobbes is the greatest strip ever.

He's written as a super logical person that assumes everything will turn out well when he acts on that super logical reasoning. No different than a kid thinking he's right about something and then %@%+*+% it up.

I don't like the kid either but that's my human bias. If aliens told me we have to kill all humans or let them die for all other alien life to survive I'd say #++% you.

The decisions the kid has made goes back to the ethical dilemma of would you kill one person to save millions or would you kill a baby Hitler, etc. To him he wanted to save the ppl he liked and have everyone else die just to make sure the threat was gone for good. I can understand that reasoning that one planet with billions of lives can't compare to thousands of planets with billions of lives on each.

Can anyone put me on some good Wolverine material? - I have Old Man Logan and Enemy of the State

anyone looking for reads right now & haven't already peeped -
