Nah man you can get a decent set up for that much.

Here's how much everything cost me so far, granted I got some steals and deals.

9887-$200 Normally 300-400

Comps-$100 Retailed 350, got brand new

Alpine F250-$90 Was like 200 normally I think

Sundown 1500-$250 Great deal on this, 2 year warranty 5 days of use, used these go for 350, new 570

Then random install wiring and stuff.

Sub I would have got was Less than 400, almost jumped on an OG SSA ICON for $160

That right there was $640, plus cost of sub even at 400 would be 1040, build your own box and install and that's about 1100. If I went with that ICON itwould be 800+ box + install misc.

Granted those were some good deals but everything was bought off the net, no friend hook ups and I think that is pretty good. Not the greatest comps and amppowering them but hey work with what you got.

that 1500d was used though..granted it was only 5 days..still a used product..what are the odds of finding a 9887 for 200 now? pretty slim..

If i were on a real strict budget this is what i would get

Typical price finding a 9887 would be 250-300. And it really wouldn't matter at all about being used for 5 days I got Jacob to put the warranty in my namewhich has 20 months left on it and even if it didn't have a warranty Sundown's are almost bulletproof, so I wouldn't be hesitating. All I'msaying is it is possible to put together a legit setup for not that much $$, don't need to buy a $$$$ box either. Fishers are as good as they get but Iwould be hesitant to drop that much on a box.

If you shop around you'll find deals. but i doubt he's gonna get anything really good for 1000. like i told spotrusherz, spend the extramoney now on a setup you can take with you from car to car.

Yeah I definitely agree.
What is your setup right now? I'm still not sure what I should do I've been dying to get a sub and set this up in my car but I don't want anythingto get messed up.

i'm subless right now since i'm saving up for a xcon.. but so far i have id xs 65 and a alpine 4.150..gonna bridge them so they'll get 300 per side
pimp.gif

I was gonna do 2 btl's on 2 3000ds but i don't have the space for it and upgrading the electrical would cost too much..

Definitely a good choice with the xcon, I was waiting for that ever since the protoype came out last summer. What are you pushin it with? And how are thoseID's I've never heard them in person.
I'm thinking I might just sell of what I've got make a little $$ from it then put in a nice system in my next car I gotta take a pic of my situation inthe trunk, it's got me so ticked off.

Sundown 3000. the i'ds are
eek.gif
midbass is amazing. tweeters are nice andsmooth and they get pretty low for comps.

Damn I need to check them out maybe get me a set of those.
Sundown 3000 is where it's at, post up some pics when you get it all installed.

im gonna go pick up the subs today..... so is it tricky to set up 1 sub or 2?

I did until you told me the ohm config. you won't find a cheap amp that'll do 600@ 3 ohms..and your electrical won't be able to handle 1.5 ohms
