I brought some gold metallic 97s but the 3m is trash it appears to be scrape off and certain areas on the shoe when the light hit em. Is that normal? I posted pics but it’s waiting for moderator approval

Gonna grab the Atlantic Blues with the gift cards I’m sure I’ll get for Christmas. Shoe looks better and better every time I see it.
That’s really the tell of whether you really want a shoe or if it’s just another impulse buy. Wait on it for a month or two and see if it you still want it. Saved me a ton of money.

Japan pair looks tough!!

I brought these AM 97 gold metallic brand new from a guy on eBay “Take1seoul” the 3m looks scrape on certain areas of the shoe. Is it normal? Are these legit?

Left shoe had a lot of black glue on tongue & lace, had to rub them off.
4th pair of AM97 will surpass my 4 pairs of AJ4 retro (MS/Away MS/PM/Royalty)
Because, I am in for camo 97s. Japan Camo 97s.
Japan’s look good but I’ll replace Japan flag for American flag in memory of US Navy & Pearl Harbor

Don't assume they won't fit. As I've said in this thread previously, i've been an 11 in 97s since 97 and every retro release since then. I have three pairs of SBs and two pairs of Japans, all in my normal size 11 and they are spot-on. If I had gone up half a size, I'd have been one unhappy camper. For all the "go up half a size" talk in here, there are those of us who have said these fit TTS. Plus, they loosen up once broken in. Everyone's feet are different, so taking the "go up" advice as gospel isn't wise. Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised when those 11s fit you.

Since the construction is thinner than the regular 97s it fits a little more loose

Nike made so few size 14s in the first batch of Silver Bullets that I bought a 15. They actually fit fine, except that due to the stiff midsole and extra space, my heel would pop out if they weren't laced tight.
So today I received my pair of Atlantic Blues from NDC, which I had bought just to try on a size 14. They actually fit completely 1:1, without my big toe touching the end of the shoe. They're completely wearable, more so than the size 15s...but for my preferences I think a 14.5 would have hit the spot. But life isn't always fair for big footers. The 97 is a similar beast (in terms of sizing) to the Foamposite and AM95.
Now I'm looking at SB size 14 resale and just getting mad

This. I’m a 13 too. Call me crazy but I’ve yet to try on any of my size 13 97s. I’ll try them on later tonight lol. Still haven’t worn any of my Max’s yet. They’re too pretty and I like looking at them lol.

I've been wondering the same thing, though I guess deer-hunting season is still open. Who was clamoring for a bunch of camo 97 colorways? The 97 has so much potential and this is what Nike is spending time on? Typical of current releases, though: A couple bad *** colorways and then an endless barrage of steaming garbage. Then again, I'm old now, so what do I know. Won't be surprised when these sell out and then command a premium on the resale market. I won't understand it, but I won't be surprised.

Not a huge fan of the Black pair, plus I just got the Black & Gold joints that dropped on Black Friday. I need a white pair of 97s. I may end up getting the white and beige joints or white and pink.

How soft/hard are the 97/TNs? As stiff as 95s? They look great (and still available); just wish they would lower the damn PSI on 95s, TNs, and 97s....They look so awesome, and all that air should simply be more cushy without having to be 250lbs....SMH...
