I have all the OG colorways that have been retroed so I’m pretty content but if the neutral greys are limited and I can’t get a pair then I’m ready to move on from JB.

You mean you have all the OG cws you’re interested in? There are probably less than 10 people in the world with the full AJ 1 OG cw set (including all the metallic cws).

Has anyone noticed that the newer AJKO’s that have Been coming out recently have different bottom soles and why?

Yeah, basically the first one with the regular AJ1 sole is wrong. The "baby teeth" tooling is true to the OG.

Yeah I think they revamped it around 2013 or 2014. I actually prefer the AJ1 sole instead but I know there are purist that like the thicker (I wanna say Vandal) sole.

Not a big fan of the KO in general but I did own the royals for a while. Something about the thicker sole and the canvas made me feel like they were kids shoes.

Wow really? Right on. I preffered the 2012’s. Ran em to the dirt. Wanted to recop on the 2015’s and newer ones but I Was turned off by the “true” soles.

Next year apparently with Nike Air on the tongue, non vintage treatment. I personally like the vintage treatment on these.

Only thing I wish these had. But I do prefer the vintage look.

I actually think they should try and make AJKOs with Zoom. They’re already lighter and more breathable than OG 1 highs because of the canvas and nylon materials used in the upper/tongue, respectively. I think incorporating a full-length Zoom strobel unit would make them insanely comfortable.

This next release is another true tell of how things are. If they’re hard to get than that’s going to be disappointing. And original Ajko’s did have vandal soles.

Correct, 85 AJKOs had the Vandal sole. They never had the same AJ1 sole, so the ones that came out with them (in 2010 through 2012?) are technically wrong and not OG.
