I believe its physical. Not an injury or anything. But because of his unorthodox mechanics and small stature, his prime was his early to mid 20s. Where more traditionally sized pitchers hit their prime a little later in their career, mid-20s to early 30s.

I think he knows it and its affected his confidence. It would be too big of an adjustment for him to change the type of pitcher he is like Maddux did.

That's my opinion, but I'm not an expert.

I think Timmy has too many tells. He had to cheat physics (or not cheat, but hedge his bets with all kinds of physical tricks) to try to get the most out of his body. I mean, look at him and look at literally all the rest of the pitchers in the league.

He shouldn't have been this good. Shouldn't have been able to been as successful as he was, which is why he'll always be my dude. He's the cream that rose to the top because he willed himself to pitch around his physical disadvantages.

Scouting is pretty damn high tech nowadays and I'm sure there's power points breaking down all his gives, down to the way his crotch looks like when he's gonna pitch low or something.

Or he's just sober and bored.
