Another platoon at LF isn't too bad. I mean the Giants have won two WS with Blanco in the lineup.

I really hope Pagan is 100% and that Strickland learns 2-3 new pitches.

Nice move on picking up Aoki imo, he had a lot of clutch hits for the Royals in their run to the World Series.

 @ Shinjo 2.0

He also took some of the most head scratching routes on fly balls I've ever seen. Nonetheless, he is an upgrade over Morse and Ishikawa in LF... Defensively speaking.

A lot talk bad about Blanco, but I think he's done more than his part to help the team win. He may not be the offensive player that Pagan is, but for his salary and the fact that he can actually stay healthy, I could never say a bad thing about him.

Giants are linked to cuban top prospect Yoan moncada, I wouldn't mind taking a risk at one of these cuban guys

It's tough to see the Sabean and FO shelling out big money to someone that's unproven.

Unfortunately, its that attitude that led to Jose Abreu being on the White Sox instead of on our team.

I am convinced we will never sign a big ticket international player.....and IF we ever do, it will be the first true bust.

I feel like the Giants' success since 2010 is ironically part of their flaws in regards to Sabean and the personnel moves he makes/doesn't make.

Not saying it's right but hard to blame him when they've struck pay dirt 3 times now. Not once, not twice, but 3 TIMES!!! :rollin

Once again to clarify, I'm not saying I agree with it but just looking at it from his point of view.

Sabean's approach to each offseason after winning the WS has been relatively the same: bring back the same core of players and don't break the bank unnecessarily on anybody since you just won the WS with rag-tag flawed roster.

The only wrinkle in this most recent WS run/following offseason is how they lost Panda. Other than that, the team was essentially going to be the same for 2015 as it was for 2014.

Happy we didn't sign Vogey back. He had some key moments, but not sure what's left in his tank.

The Astros also are nearing a deal with free-agent right-hander Ryan Vogelsong, baseball sources told ESPN.com.

Would rather have a real starting pitcher.

Since Timmy is an expiring deal - can we just put him in the pen now and save the embarrassment for later?

I'm happy with letting vogey go.. His time with us was running out. We've seen the best of him imo. I'd rather throw in young prospects into the rotation

2016 champs! Let's go!

Happy trails Vogey.

Maybe the Giants take a look at Zito again?

He is working to pitch next season...How's Mark Mulder's rehab going?

I wouldn't call it an official parting yet - can't put him on the 60 day DL yet but we needed the roster spot.
