Official 2023 San Francisco Giants Off-Season Thread - Jung Hoo Lee signs with SF 6-years $113 Million

Looks great!

Where'd you get the frames and what are their dimensions?

Thanks folks.

wooster, I got the frames from Michael's. 70 bucks for all of em. The dimemsions are 16x24. The newspapers themselves are about 11.75x22.

this offseason is turning out to be really disappointing. i really though we were going to get zobrist.

maybe they're thinking about a big 2016 offseason with lincecum, scutaro, and hudson coming off the books. That's about $35 mil.

I know this will not be a popular opinion....

But we need to trade Andrew Susac and combine him with a top prospect and make a splash via trade. Its obvious we arent going to sign anyone and we cant have Gregor Blanco as our everyday left fielder.

That's why we have Ishikawa. Kidding.

Susac is definitely valuable but perhaps the value lies in keeping him and eventually moving Posey to 1st.  Susac held his own and will only get better so projecting him as a starting catcher isn't far off.  The odd man out in that situation is obviously  Belt so will hold even more value and get a bigger return in a trade (unless he learns how to play LF).

I'd be interested in going after Will Venable. Granted he had a rough year last year but a change of scenery could be good for him.

Regardless, I dont have any expectations for this year.  Really nervous to see what toll the playoff run had on Mad Bum's arm.  Cain returns and we'll see if it was that troublesome elbow that was giving him problems or he's generally regressing like Lincecum.  Pagan is averaging like 80 missed games the last two years so thats an unfortunate trend.  Will we get Peavy from the 2nd half or the playoffs.  Same for Hudson.  Etc, etc, etc.

I agree with you, but because our management and Posey are wholeheartedly against the move to first base, having Susac as our every fifth day catcher for the foreseeable future, it doesnt make sense to me to not try to trade him for an every day player.

Everything you said made me pessimistic about the immediate future.

He'll be 28 this year.  Playing after another long playoff run.  They might re-evaluate their stance during the summer. If not, theyre too stubborn for their own good.

Hope you all tuned in to The Odd Couple, Bochy and Flannery on the MLB Network. If not hope you can catch a replay. Good documentary.

Good looks on the link @LB510.......but that isn't even close to the entire thing.  The special on MLBN was a full hour long.  You guys should look for a replay.  I know they have a couple this weekend.
