A good Big XII defense, and defense that is going to work in this conference are two different things.

Oh I agree. I wasn’t really impressed with the numbers and success he had there. Luckily I don’t think the defense can get THAT much worse but I said that two years ago (which is why I don’t think he has a lot of pressure year 1). Hopefully he can turn it around and make it decent. I understand teams are going to score with a quick hit offense like ours but good lord

He did REALLY well in the Big 12. Like top 3-5 defense in the country well, I think. But I agree withOh I agree. I wasn’t really impressed with the numbers and success he had there. Luckily I don’t think the defense can get THAT much worse but I said that two years ago (which is why I don’t think he has a lot of pressure year 1). Hopefully he can turn it around and make it decent. I understand teams are going to score with a quick hit offense like ours but good lord

Your guys complained about the scheme being simple, and while that could be a problem in a playoff scenario when the athletic advantage is negated, I don’t think being simple and just letting your athletes play is the worst idea in the world when you can recruit like OSU does.
Your problem was coaching, watching OSU last season you could tell they had athletes. They just weren’t coached all that well, and were for a lack of a better word, soft.
