Yep. Memphis told him he’d have a role and once the season started he didn’t. Then went back to philly and was actually decent all things considered. Once his daughter got sick he knew it was time to hang it up

you forget he retired in 2013
even after playing in philly he tried getting on a team but no one wanted him so he went to turkey to play while still trying to get on.
in 2013 he was still trying to get on but he only got an offer from a d league team and he thought that was an insult so rather than play in the d league he retired
you forget throughout those 5 years we all wondered why none of the top teams would sign him. it was cuz he wouldnt accept being a role player
