I'm surprised Truth don't get more love on here cuz he did beat the Lakers and these mf'er in here HATE the Lakers so much.

Paul was probably a better player than Dirk. Dirk was more efficient but Paul was way better on defense and Dirk blew a lot of opportunities with better teams.
Dirk made 4 First Team NBA Teams and 5 Second Team All NBA Teams. He's also in the 50 40 90 club

PP made 1 Second Team All NBA

I don't think it's even close

Plus Dirk played in the West his whole career compared to PP playing in the East his whole career

Adam Mares predicted that Denver would concede the 2nd seed and home court in order to rest

Jokic hasn't been playing heavy minutes, but he's been burdened quite a bit with carrying the load with all the injuries

Jamal Murray has had all sorts of ankle issues along with other injuries

Denver with homecourt probably wins 1 game. Getting to the second round to begin with isn't exactly set in stone, so having a rested and healthy unit is the number one priority

Top 3 at his position? 2011 was great but he has some serious black eyes on his resume. And he didn’t defend or help defend any of those big names that struggled against Dallas in 2011.

career 25/10 averages. he wasn't a great defender but he's always been really good on the glass. and that one ring means a lot.

he anchored playoff teams for 15 out of 16 seasons

What argument is there for PP > Dirk

At some point, Dirk's historic offensive prowess closes the gap there is on defense

Their accomplishments literally do not compare

Dirk also played with Michael Finley (people forget that was his team first), Nash and those deep Mavs teams early on. Then he had a team built around his weaknesses win he finally won a chip. He's great but he played with a lot better players.

dirk is at worse the 3 best player ever at his position. Paul pierce is not

Maximus Meridius Maximus Meridius jumped the shark

Paul is the leading scorer for the celtics, a franchise filled with HOF'ers. Both of 'em got a ring late their careers. Dirk had a great career but blew a few chances to get more rings.

Dirk's individual accomplishments aren't tied to who he played with. Making all those All NBA Teams, being a 50 40 90 member... and the year he won a ring, their team was not at all considered a serious contender. He had a historic playoff run that probably has never been seen before

Being the leading scorer for an all time great franchise or being one of the all time leaders in scoring? Hmmm

Dirk couldn’t beat the spurs for a while. Dirk couldn’t beat Tim Donaghy.

PP34 was missing the entire playoffs. He led a team to 33 wins once. It’s no comparison

Dirk won 67 games then lost in the 1st rd while avg 19 on 38/21% shooting.

Like I said great player but ya'll pick and choose who to call out.

Like no one ever excuses him for that. But 2011 covered all of that up. Just like lebron made up for that trash finals and Kobe made up for blowing a 3-1 lead

It’s sad you don’t recognize his legend and influence
:smh:
