High risk, high reward move imo.
Win and you got Grienke and Kershaw 5 and 6 and both had quality starts in 1 and 2. The bars just didn't produce c
Lose and you got those 2 guys pitching still which make the game 5 and if necessary 6 chances much better
If they can get the win tomorrow this series would have the pitching matchups favoring the dodgers for 5 and 6. Perhaps the cards panic and go with wainwright on short rest Friday if they go back to St. Louis down 3-2. Anyhow can't wait to game time tonight.
That free parking if you carpool deal is solid.
After Game 1, 2 and 3 I can not care less about pitching matchups.
Favorable this, favorable that, it doesn't matter at this point. This is probably the only game where the matchup isn't in anyone's favor if the Dodgers stick to Nolasco against Lynn.
I want to say home field matters, I want to say pitching matters, but this series has been a total anomaly. Confidence was high with Greinke and Kershaw going in GM's 1 and 2, they pitched gems and lost. Confidence was low for Ryu vs Wainwright and Ryu pitches a gem, Wainwright loses, Jon Jay basically wins us the game with his awful OF play and here we are.
You can toss the script out and just see what happens. The Cards don't panic, and they have faith in their rotation, especially Wainwright and Wacha.
