If you are referring to him yelling at Kuz as vocal leadership then that's silly.

NATURALLY Rose just isn't great at communicating PERIOD. On the court or off. And he doesn't have to be, UNLESS you are the point guard of a basketball team. Rose's time with the Bulls is what's really causing this. In Chicago his playmaking abilities were masked by his explosiveness and ability to score AT WILL. It was also masked by a superior defense. He was basically the 2001 Iverson with that Philly team. Huge usage rate load for one elite scorer with a team full of goons that played tough and hard defense. He was the PG in THAT system and it worked. But we all seen what happened when the Sixers Got some help and the team philosophy changed a bit.

To be honest, the management and coaching of this team has been horrible and a lot if not most of the blame and hate should be towards them for not making the right adjustments.

He found Melo on the mismatch last game for the last shot, cause that's what the play literally was drawn up as.

He doesn't willingly and INSTICTUALLY do that. That's PG trait. That's my gripe.

But like I said. It's not really roses fault. He's not a PG. He's a scorer.

I like having amel here. If I were a Melo Stan I probably wouldn't just so I can blame D Rose without any counter-points. Son is more committed to watching Knick games than 75% of us and it'll prob be one season.

And having Rubio wouldn't make this team better because then, who would help score? Sure scoring isn't an issue with the Knicks right now bc evidently, but put in Rubio, you'll have more assist but you won't have he same collapsing of the defense bc teams know he can't shoot the 3 or midrange or floaters or layups.

And you wouldn't win more games. Melo at this stage needs a guy who can score, unfortunately, rose doesn't pass that well as a PG.

Not really that high on him as a total player, but just the playmaking ability and willingness to pass.

The last two championship teams had point guards who were scorers. So I don't understand why Derrick is faulted for being score first so long as he does it efficiently. I don't like when Derrick needs to put up 25 shots to score as much as you do..

If he can get to the line more consistently, that would happen less

This is what I mean by blinders my dude.

Curry's passing & playmaking abilities are faaar better than Rose's.

And he's not in same league as Kyrie when it comes to scoring.

Crazy that you'd even compare him to them

I didn't say he was as good as either of them though? You know that's not what I meant

I just don't like rating point guards on whether they're pass first or score first.

You go by that, Kyrie would be way down on the list then

He's not really comparable to Steph or Kyrie in any facet of the game.

Warriors have some of the best ball movement in history and Cleveland has one of the best passers ever in LeBron.

We are having a terrible season assists wise and it has a lot to do with Rose not setting up teammates enough.

He's been improving on the drive and kick but he's only averaging 1.4 assists more than Melo a game.

He has one of the lowest APG numbers among starting PGs. Jennings is averaging more assists off the bench.

Plus he doesn't even try on defense at times.

He would make a great 6th man 2 guard. Just come in, drive to the basket and shoot as many mid range jumpers as he wants.

That's not hate, just facts.

Theres so many other PGs I'd rather have before Rose. Gimme Ish Smith on this team and he's better for us than Rose. Dude is just so stuuuuuppiiiiddddd. Like, he really lacks the capacity to think about what the right basketball play should be. There's a reason he's rated an 80 in 2K. It's because he's a bad PG

I wasn't comparing their skill level. Just trying to say you shouldn't look at pass first and score first and look at whether the PG can just play. Rondo would be the most sought after PG in the NBA otherwise, because he is pass always.

Well Derrick isn't coming off the bench as a 2. But he is splitting time on the court as a small 2 with Jennings on the court. And that's happening more and more lately, and Hornacek loves to close with this Jennings/Rose combo.

Like it or not, the Knicks are the only team I'm interested in the NBA so it makes sense to stay subscribed to this thread

If more posters posted about the Knicks in the general thread I'd probably be in that thread. Only a few of you post in that thread. Most of the time, it's not about the Knicks, unless they're playing well, or if they so happen to be on national tv
