If Klay went out there and got hurt, 100% of you would be talking about how dumb they are for leaving him out there

if he got hurt in the middle of the 3rd when he was still playing and they were up 20+

wouldn't they have asked the same question?

How many times had someone been on track for a career night, a coach left them in, and they got hurt?

In the history of basketball

I remember Phil saying Kobe would've have another chance..

Obviously that peyote Phil be smoking gives him oracle powers cause literally a few weeks later he went for 81.

thats just one of the dumb unwritten rules in sports IMO

if a player is gonna get hurt, he's gonna get hurt. enough with the coulda, woulda, shoulda

Terrible logic bro :lol

There's absolutely no reason to play him up 30

You play to win the game...

What are you even asking here?

Say the answer is yes....does that mean because they already left him in during a blowout, they should continue to leave him in further ?

That's like saying "i ****** her raw by mistake yesterday, might as well go and do it again today".

That was the highest amount of points ever for someone who played less than 30 minutes.

People lose so much sight that on the fact that this is entertainment

What do you think is better for the league? Or will draw more eyeballs?

A player scoring 80+ (in the way that Klay does it)

Or him getting a hot night and it getting the talk in basketball circles for 3 days?

80+ is showing up on "good morning America"

How many times has an NBA star broken his leg in a summer exhibition game?

Zero until it actually happens.

They have 6 games in 9 days coming up. He's clearly out of his shooting slump...it serves no purpose to leave him out there.

what i am saying is, gsw took him out at the end of the 3rd. you said if he played more and got hurt everyone would be blaming the gsw coaches.

but the game was well out of hand long before the 3rd quarter ended.

so by your logic, shouldn't they have taken klay out of the game when it was officially out of hand?

if, if was a fifth we'd all be drunk.

Bruh got 60 on 33 FGA and 11 FTA in 3 quarters.

Mean to tell me if he had 46 FGA and 20 FTA he couldn't get 81? 13 more shots and 9 more FTs to get 21 more pts?

Psh.

I hate to say it but what you said is very stupid fam.

The negatives far outweigh the positive in this situation.

I would even consider your argument valid if this was a player like Devin Booker on a team that you know has no postseason hopes...

But on a team where the goal is to win chips it makes no sense to leave him in.

Just be happy he gave them what he did :lol

Get yo ol' punt on 4th and inches on the 45 *** outta here, bruh.

I'm not saying what they "should" have done period. So if they did take him out, then I certainly would have understood it. It's the most logical thing to do.

i get the "sit him down" logic.

i am just saying, that as a fan, it would've been nice to see him play 5 or 6 more mins to see what he could do. he was 10 points away from basketball "rare air".

i just don't really believe in that logic. i feel that if a player is gonna get hurt, he's gonna get hurt. doesn't really matter if you take him out early today to save him for tomorrow etc

sh** happens

nothing saying that he can't get hurt in the next game, or the next. *no jinx*

I agree. of course it would have be fun as a fan. I just hate how people act like the players are "obligated" to perform whenever they want them to.
