Luke's answers to the media are perfect. Even if dude doesn't really pan out, right now he looks and smells like a real coach

We'll see how it plays out

Kobe growing out his beard playing with his daughters. He's good. Long as his wife don't drive him up the wall he probably doesn't give a Ratsull's *** about how different the team looks. Probably gonna buy a team overseas or something

The fact that Randle actually passed that is underrated impressive

Ingram playing in crunch time, interesting. Not sure if he's been playing in crunch time all year but I hope he starts to figure things out

Lakers will be in the mix for a playoff seed

Lou Will said it feels like he's played with Luke before (by the way he coaches and interacts with them) and that the players would run through a wall for him

Not bad, Luke

GSW fan base is about to be reduced back down to the True Fans.

I'm sure they're greatful but I'm not ready for the "I've been a fan since Rick Fox and Robert Horry" claims.

Xmas 2018 #1 selling Jersey Team Lakers w/Ben Simmons trailing by a small margin.

Was this posted? Cuban gives no damns

The Dallas Mavericks refused to allow ESPN reporters to cover this weekend's games in Dallas after Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said he was unhappy the network would not have a reporter cover the team full time.

On Friday and Sunday, ESPN reporters Tim MacMahon and Marc Stein were told they would not be admitted to games against Portland and Milwaukee.

MacMahon is a Dallas-based reporter who has primarily covered the Mavericks for ESPN. He is also assigned to several other teams and stories as news warrants. Stein is a national NBA reporter, also based in Dallas.

"We're committed to thoroughly covering the Mavs and the NBA," ESPN said in a statement Sunday.

Have no idea how the Lakers got this good.

Byron and Kobe really held this team back....
Correct, and Luke doing things .. like letting Randle play through mistakes and making Young look like an actual basketball player

Kobe's last year definitely held them back, but the year before he played like 30 games and they played awful. Even last season when he sat games they played awful.

I'd say the coaching change has been the biggest difference. Byron was horrendous. Mix that with the younger guys getting better, better vets around them, and no farewell tour, you get a better Laker team.

The general media has definitely pointed their finger at Kobe not being there, but have barely talked about the coaching change. Byron for some reason has been protected even during his 2 seasons coaching.

To this day they blame D'Angelo for last season rather than Byron.

What was Kobe's excuse when he had these guys as his coaches though:

Coaching was not the biggest difference. The biggest difference was the Lakers players going into the season relaxed, being able to say to themselves: "Okay, now we don't have to worry about this ego who hijacked the franchise and the 20 low percentage shots he wants per game."

kobe aint hold **** back. Played 6 games in 13-14..team didnt do **** in his absence...played in like 28 in 14-15...team didnt do **** in his absence...15-16, randle was still in rookie mode. russell was snitching, byron was buns, nick was iggy face. kobe only played like 28-32 minutes a game. if he was in the way, how come dudes aint ball when he was on the bench or the games he sat out? nothing would've made that team flourish. bron couldn't have saved that roster.
