Zito is definitely a second-half pitcher. He's been that his whole career.

I would like to see them trade Jonathan Sanchez for a bat, but this is the Giants we're talking about. Sabean has rarely ever traded his players away regardless of the situation. Coming off the World Series victory, he'd rather stick to what got them there and it's their pitching.

Sanchez is on the DL and would only be back to make maybe a couple of starts before the deadline and that's not really enough for a team to buy into him. What if Vogelsong can't keep up his magical run? What if Zito tails off? What if Bumgarner starts to show fatigue after pitching so many innings last season?

There's just too many 'what if's' surrounding this team's rotation. I doubt Sabean does anything by the deadline, but we'll see.
