Them garlic fries are bomb.

Just got back from the game the fireworks took forever to start after but it was worth it. Nate Schierholtz coming up huge again! I really hope Freddy does not miss an extensive amount of time cause that would mean more Tejada (even htough he has been our best offensive player this series). Vogelsong didn't have his best stuff but he pitched well through tough jams. Chris Stewart is god awful it seemed like every time we had a RBI opportunity he was at the plate.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Giants have signed veteran infielder Bill Hall.

Hall was released by the Astros earlier this week after batting just .224/.272/.340 across his first 158 plate appearances. He drew free agent interest from the Nationals and Orioles, but the Giants pounced quickly after watching second baseman Freddy Sanchez crumble to the ground with a dislocated shoulder on Friday night against the Reds.

The Giants are also missing third baseman Pablo Sandoval, who is still recovering from hamate bone surgery, and utility infielder Mike Fontenot, who is down with a groin strain. Hall will at least give more depth to the San Francisco bench and could even make regular starts at third or second for a couple of weeks.

Hall, 31, slugged 18 home runs in just 382 plate appearances last season for the Red Sox and managed 35 home runs against an .899 OPS back in 2006 for the Brewers. The Giants will hope some of that pop remains. Houston remains on the hook for most of what remains on his one-year, $3 million contract.

I remember Hall....when he was with the Brewers. Not a good hitter, so he should fit right in.

Patiently waiting for the MRI results for Freddy. Praying there is no ligament damage.

I guess Hall is okay for now because our bench is seriously on life support.

Astros are picking up the bill though (no pun intended) so its a very low risk, low reward situation.

I've heard that if its just a dislocated shoulder it should be 3-4 weeks for Freddy...we just need to stay afloat at the top of the West until we start getting some guys back and I think we'll be fine as hard as it is to say that right now.
