Precedent has been set that MVPs have at least 50 wins and be a division winner, but right now a 45 win season for Miami what they're hoping to reach. I think its really a 2-man race between Bron and Kobe with Bron on top for now.
Who had better numbers? I hope you ain't implying Kobe had better numbers than Wade? Better POINT avg is the ONLY thing he has on Wade that year as far as numbers go. Also, it hasnt' been done before by those two in the sense that he took his team from pretty much being last place to most likely having home court in the 1st round. And the last person who did do something like that, Nash, ended up winning the MVP.

fixed

Okay....so they were in last place last year. You all act as if they're contenders now. In reality, they're in 3rd in the DIVISION and only 6 gamesabove .500

It's lebrons turn for MVP. Wade's record really doesn't help his cause and remember its the media and coach's voting. They have those"rules and criteria" for mvp's. Just like many years ago when people thought kobe was for sure the mvp of ball nash won that !+#% back to back. The people mvp this year is dwade though.

Also somebody mentioned odom and fisher for the lakers, the lakers depth is overrated. Just look back to that game where kobe fouled out, nobody knew what todo.

why cant these guys make an argument for lebron and kobe??? they know wade should get it... but they just dont want to admit it.. lame...

Only 6 games above .500 is a HUGE accomplishment from being in LAST place and it's not like they got someone that significantly changed their team. Everyone else that makes a huge jump usually has an additional player or two that made them become THAT much more better but with the Heat, its' prettymuch Wade. Let's be real. Beasley isn't even in the ROY running and Marion was a HUGE disappointment which is why he was let go. Wade has been THEreason the Heat are where they are.

Anyway, Wade is definitely my vote but don't get me wrong, if Kobe or Bron get it, with everything going the same until the end(LA first in NBA, Cle firstin East, etc) then i will feel they deserved it just the same.

Pretty much i feel you can make a argument for any of those players. Hell, for Kobe, i think him knocking out FOUR winning streaks, three on the otherteam's home floor, can be used to boost his MVP appeal and would be fair in doing so because that's just very impressive.

Bron doing what he's doing deserves the MVP as well. So i really wouldn't be too mad if either 3 got it i just hope Wade wins it cause that's myboy....

the cavs are 21-4 against the west...and I think the east is leading the head to head matchup with the west this year

C-Webb, Kenny & Charles all say LBJ....

Ernie actually has a vote for the MVP this year but won't say who he's voting for.

nah...i still think the west is tougher overall because of the depth

lebron should win this in a runaway and i don't know it's even a discussion.

wade is having a PHENOMENAL season. no doubt about it. but MVPs have usually correlate with team success. lebron's stats across the board are similar towade. and his team is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than dwayne wade.

28, 7, 7 on 49% shooting with the top 2 record in the L? c'mon now. it isn't lke he's putting up nash #s.

Heres the thing, Wade's having an incredible season no doubt about it. Unstoppable. But for the mvp award, it should be about 50/50 with the player himselfand the teams record. When was the last time a guy won the MVP where his team did not have at least 50 wins or so? I surely cant think of anybody, at least notrecently. And although Kobe is my favorite player, I didn't think he deserved it in 06. Not enough wins. Same thing this year for Wade. It has to beLebron. 28/7/7 on probably the best or second best record in the league when its all said and done. Maybe a full year with a healthy JO and an improved Beasleywill improve his teams record next year, and if he plays the same, then no doubt he should be the mvp. But not this year. And this coming from a big Wade fan.

Not really true. Look at MJ's first MVP....... Magic could have easily won it 4 straight times...
Boston had a better record than the Lakeshow but Kobe won it.

Although the Miami Heat are HORRIBLE without D Wade...Lebron James all day. One piece in Mo Williams and he's currently on top of the east. I really hopethe guy wins one soon
