Man Melo's postgame resonated with me. Dude loves the country and does his best to represent it, but feels frustrated and conflicted because of the social climate within the U.S. And the frustration is compounded because in that moment he shouldn't even be having those thoughts. He should be like the white dudes getting their medal and feel nothing but love and pride. But instead he feels love, pride, and extra things.

He couldn't find the words, but there was one part that was still powerful to me, which was the, "we gotta be united."

Dude really cares about the struggle of minorities and the poor, and it's great to watch him do his best to make a change. And being an inner-city kid who was the leader and veteran of this team was a part of that to him.

Soon as he said it I facepalmed because I know his words had good intentions but someone was bound to think that.
