Melo is a true G... he was with LALA at a club and her ex was there and spit on LALA... melo fought dude and his boys by himself because he felt disrespected

On the topic of the melo criticism

I think it's okay that he doesn't care about rings or ring chase

I think it's rather unique and different in this time in age

Very old school type player...Reggie Miller Charles Barkley Pat Ewing esque

Because in today's age

Everyone is linking up just to create super teams and killing the integrity of the sport just for 'chips

If it ain't mean to be it ain't meant to be

A ring doesn't define a legacy stop putting so much emphasis on it

Some dudes are just comfortable making multi millions and playing ball

And that is ok....

No sense in making the nba teams into quasi dream teams just for a chip...then dumping them and making another super team elsewhere...rinse repeat recycle

Only other dude like that is Westbrook

So when and if a person like melo or Westbrook actually do get a ring/chip it will mean more than say Lebron's 3 rings...that he cried pleaded and moaned for

Because they truly did it on their own

carmelo's interview was taken out of context

he has always been interested and got top priorities to win an nba championship

his comment was about a scenario of when his basketball is done.
 
Melo was basically saying even if he doesn't win an NBA title he has a championship at Syracuse, gold medals, a bunch of ASG appearances, & a **** ton of points to look back on and say he had a good career.
 
There's nothing to be ashamed of even if he walked away from the game today. Look at AI. Melo has accomplished as much (if not more) than he did, but gets 20% of the respect. In fact, neither tmac or vc got as much shade as melo and they didn't accomplish as much. It's the damn Lebron effect smh.

Melo went from Stop Snitchin' to marching in Baltimore/hanging with the kids in the favelas/speaking out on social issues.

I'm proud of that dude.
