**Official '11 NYK LOCKOUT thread*** lockout over

Brewer gets me to. You got guys in here saying no no no...this trade was for the future. How would Corey Brewer not be a significant piece for the future? It's like MDA doesn't want to keep around guys who make him look like he can't coach, but he can't trade Melo.

He's not a piece because we weren't going to pay him. This team didn't need to commit any salary to a wing player who is overrated on defense, can't shoot and shoots too often, and wouldn't get that much time playing behind Melo anyway. Who cares if he went to the Mavericks, he can be their 12th man because Cuban doesn't mind paying for players but we need to budget our money for the next couple years.

Darko admitted himself he didn't work as hard as he is now when he was in NY, I think he even apologized to us for it. Short of a few insane games, he hasn't done too much to write home about for the Wolves.

Randolph has yet to do anything substantial in any of the 3 teams he's been on. He's pure potential who might never put it together who has a poor attitude and when he had the chances didn't do much here.

Anyway, this will be a tough one tonight. Dwight is going to punish us for sure, so we need to let him get his but shut down the rest of the Magic's shooters. Amare needs to stay out of foul trouble if we want a chance, and attack D12 early in hopes of getting him on the bench.

SAS was telling everybody that we should give up everybody not named Amare for Melo and that heads would roll if we didn't.

He's a jerk off

Dantoni is definitely the biggest problem though. I can list 20 things I don't like about the guy. I don't thinkhe can do simple stuff like motivate the team. Terrible defensively AND offensively. His system is a gimmick. His offensive strategy doesn't exist. It's like watching a pick up game.

Not trying to be funny but I honestly don't even think he runs plays unless it's for the lasts hot of the game. He just lets the players wing it. You ever see a knick player shoot off the screen?

What I want to know is, how come Melo and Amare dont run the Pick and Roll often?

No free tickets tonight FTL

that sucks mez. But orlando usually kills us so maybe it's a blessing in disguise

I liked that Garnett quote they just showed. said the game felt like a bar fight

I think with the balance of what he can do, Brewer could've helped us as much as Shawne Williams, especially looking at our bench. I mean he's an expiring. Why would we waive him when we did instead of letting him come off the books and seeing where he could help?

Melo seems to be an underrated passer IMO.

Him and Stat can run pick and roll but that's more suited for a PG. Everyone will know what's coming next when they see Stat come set that pick and they will adhere to it.

Billups needs to learn to perfect it with STAT

Hard game tonight. Does anyone know where I can get some cheap Tix for @ least one game before the playoffs start?

I predict some major boos from the MSG crowd tonight.

When I called it, I definitely didn't think it would be this early.

On ESPN Im back and forth between channels and Mark Jackson is saying that a COACH is responsible for holding players accountable on the defensive end and JVG is wondering how the hell should Melo get blamed if C Billups has 8 TO's in a game and Ton Douglas goes 1-12?

He sounded a little annoyed and so did Mark Jackson.
Mark Jackson Also says that Melo shouldn't have to change his playing style that much because he's one of the best players in the world.

that was a frustratingly lazy pass/turnover from chauncey billups

anyone else would get called out on that with the quickness
