I could understand Ray Allen being that he is gonna break the 3 PT FG Made record. But if that's the case, it would be a great idea for the "champion" Paul Pierce, also his teammate, to give him HIS spot.

To me, just like the Dunk contest, most of, and probably all of the participants should be young up and coming players, or players that are having that great half of a season. They should be benefiting from the weekends exposure. Dudes like Paul Pierce and Ray Allen already had their chance to participate in these events. Nate Robinson is the dunk champ, but he isn't participating in the contest this year. Why does Paul Pierce HAVE to "defend" his win ?

All-Star Weekends are handled all the way wrong.

On the other hand when you think about it, Boston is taking over the All-Star weekend in L.A. as much as they can.

well i think it only makes sense... you have to give up value to get value... knicks fans and donnie are ignorant if they think they can get melo for free in the summer or through a trade without trading 2 out of those 3 guys.... and to be honest who cares you're getting carmelo whos top 10 in the league you can't pass that up... and its not guaranteed your going to get him in the summer... give up anybody not named amare... those 2 on the knicks are going to be a problem... and lets not forget carmelo wants that extension now so waiting for the summer is not really an option

I'd give up Chandler and Gallinari. Fields is a winning component and fans come to see him him. You're not missing with Anthony starting and Shawne Williams spelling him. Plus Azabuike is on the comeback trail and Billy Walker can do what Chandler does.

But _'Antoni's ties with Gallo's Daddy may alter things.

Melo wants to be in NY, it will happen if we rape Denver and another team to get him or if he signs in the off-season.

People are reporting all these stories to stay relevant. This is the biggest story in the NBA aside from the actual games.

Carmelo's agent probably has a hand in it as well. He knows how big of a commodity Melo will be in NY. He probably calling dudes up with "info" to stir things up. Try and put the pressure on the Don.

Why wouldn't FANS of a certain team want their team to be represented in which ever way is possible ? Especially when the person in question is the leader in the said category.

I think the PG Skills Challenge is a fan vote this year, but am I delusional if I wanted to see Felton in that ?

Anthony Morrow is the biggest snub from the 3 point contest, honestly...he's the best active 3 point shooter in the league % wise over his career.

Plus honestly, there are other players I would pick over Williams, even with his percentages. He's a corner 3 specialist....not really shootout contest material. He also has the least amount of attempts. Everyone on that list has twice the amount of shots taken and made. The only questionable selection is Durant, honestly.

I would still roll the dice and flip Felton. Him and Billups have 2 years left and D-Will & CP3 will be available. I'd rather keep hold of the young talent at this point if it's gonna be one or the other.
