I honestly thought that the dude would be taken out in a stretcher after being on the ground for a good minute. I'm actually surprised Hatton held on thatlong in the second round.

Not because its true...

Because it took so long for so many Filipino people to become conscious of him...

Where were ya'll when I was a fan of his in 2003 when he beat Barrera?

Where were ya'll when he lost to Morales?

When he fought to a draw against Marquez?

Where???

I hate that....Don't jump on the bandwagon now. I've been a fan and I've stopped being one since he got that controversial win against Marquez in their 2nd bout...

Much respect to the Republic of the Philippines and all of its beautiful people, but seriously STOP hopping on the bandwagon....DUDE HAS BEEN A BEAST FOR NEARLY A DECADE!!!!!!!!!

I can feel where you stand. Sometimes its weird when your boys don't even know some of the Mexicans he went through.

I'm just glad that he's humble and very happy to represent the country more than anything.

He is truly a People's Champion.

Yes, he's SO humble. It makes me remember why I started liking him in the first place.

He's always happy, so calm, then he comes out like a tornado and destroys people's faces with his hands.

I'm GLAD he's the people's champ.

BUT. People have to stop acting like they know the man's career intimately. It ruins it for true boxing fans who HAVE put up money fight after fight to seethe man fight.

No I'am not jumping on any bandwagon. Just saying as casual sports fan u dont hear his name much. But its good to hear a filipino doing histhing but I would like to see him beat PBF before consider him being on top though.

Mayweather took 10 rds to beat Hatton and looked uncomfortable and akward for the first 4 rds. This was also at Mayweather's more comfortable weight of 147, where Hatton had not been impressive in any of his fights (i thought he lost to Collazo and Castillo was just there to pick up a paycheck against him)...

Pacquiao, without the weight advantage (if anything, his natural weight of 130-135 put him at a disadvantage) dominated, knocked him down 3x and the fight wsa over in 2 rds

Just saying, bc some of u probably don't follow boxing...2 guys fought the same man and 1 had an advantage. The one with the advantage needed 10 rds to win, and needed to adapt after struggling early, while the one without an advantage won in 2 rds while destroying the opponent easily...Not saying this is the only test/measure of a fighter, but from that, which fighter do you think is better?

Just something to think about for everyone who thinks Mayweather>>>>>>Pacquiao
styles make fights, when have u ever known floyd to go for kos early. he is a technician, two different fighters, two different fights
comparing the two vs same opponents dont hold water.
Ali damn near got killed by frazier twice, frazier got ko's early by foreman, Ali ko's foreman

theres no a beats b worse than c so a can beat c

and I am far from a PBF apologist

GREAT KO TONITE
House was goin crazy!
Not sayin Pacquiao's better for that reason, all I'm saying is I don't think Mayweather is THAT much better than him, and I think ucan make an argument that Pacquaio is better than him...seems like everyone just expects Mayweather to sweep the floor w/ Pacquiao easily, I don't see thathappening

Real fans would say....

"I would like to see Paquiao decisively beat Marquez before considering him being on top"....

BTW, All the casual fans talking all this crap about Marquez being owned by Mayweather....

While Mayweather is a beast, and I love seeing him fight....

I respect Marquez. I know what this man is capable of. He's an assassin. He's accurate (I mean his angles are on POINT). He's got heart and he hasdecent power.

The man is a complete boxer. Great stamina, he'll never back down from Mayweather. Mayweather has NEVER fought this caliber of opponent. EVER....

This is Mayweathers legacy defining fight. Seriously....Don't underestimate Marquez....

Filipino's don't sleep on Nonito Donaire, that man's a beast too...he may follow in the steps of Pacquiao one day...

That's a pretty dumb thing to say. Manny is the biggest thing going in the Phillipines. Regardless of whether Flips were on it from day one or not how can you be mad at them for backing someone who pretty much has become the embodiment of Filipino pride?

Seriously, with the huge disconnect with Fil-Ams and the filipino culture you have to be glad that we have someone to represent us on the world stage andbring us together. It doesnt matter if you there from day one. Only die hard boxing fans new who he was after the barrera fight. The first fight i watched iwas alone in watching hbo replay of the first marquez fight. Now everyone has huge viewing parties. I love it

I was expecting to see a great fight..then this lame Hatton gets KOed in 2rds? Lucky I didn't pay for the fight or else id be
