I have the same exact picks as you on these series. Salvatore on our games would be a double whammy, since he already sticks it to us as it is. I expect Chicago/Cleveland to provide some interesting games, but I still see Cleveland making quick work of them. Deng might be the best Lebron defender out there.

Most exciting matchups to me besides my team:
LA/OKC
Dal/SAS
Den/Utah

Lakers have to be rooting for the Jazz, no?

Roy havin surgery, gonna be out the first round at least.

There are whispers out here, and the word microfracture keeps coming up.

If they go into his knee and it's worse then they thought, (I believe that's what happened with Oden isn't it?) then they may go that route.

Apparently Roy already had this injury on his knee in high school, having it a second time could mean it's worse then expected etc etc etc.

People praying out here right now.  I wish dude luck, hopefully it's just the little clean up and not the micro.

Can you imagine if Roy has long term injury problems and Oden continues to be Oden...how much that draft will continue to haunt them?

AK47 re-strained the calf. Out for the first series. I smell a trade this summer of Pierce for that Knicks pick....

Heat's odds of keeping Wade increase

It was at the end of Friday’s Board of Governors press conference, which I was giddy to unexpectedly find live on NBA TV, that David Stern revealed a massive surprise.

The commissioner says that the league is now projecting next season’s salary cap to be a robust $56.1 million, which is still down from this season’s $57.7 million but incredibly encouraging after last summer’s harrowing projections of the cap nosediving to a range between $50.4 million to $53.6 million for 2010-11.

“We found out this morning,

This summer is going to be so epic.  This news of a higher salary cap just made it even better.

Whoever starts that thread gonna need to be truly on the ball updating the first page and what not as the transactions flow.  JA did a great job last summer, if you got the time this year, I hope you can do it again.

I think that puts the Thunder in the running for big names. They are at 40 mil in salary for next year and have 11 guys so that means they'd be very close to being able to give the maximum salary.

They have a few 1st round cap holds because of their draft picks they would have to get rid of...and should.

Is anybody really gonna sign there, tho?

I know the idea is that Durant has come around now and wants to stay, where in the past everybody swore he would get out of that state ASAP....

...but can you really sell anybody on the idea of willingly moving to Oklahoma?

The increase in salary cap and the front office are really going to hurt the Bulls chances of getting Wade.  Hopefully we can get Bosh

$tern increasing the cap in the biggest free agency off-season in the history of the league. And he wants people to believe that he didnt rig the '85 lottery?
