Just watched that 30 minute CBS Sports documentary on the 94 finals. **** was ******* heart breaking. I legit punched the wall next to me when they were going over Hakeem's game 6 block on Starks...

Just to think of what Starks and Ewing's legacies would have been like if Starks hit that 3 to win the finals.

Starks would have one of the most memorable all time finals games under his belt if that 3 goes in, having already played a terrific game up to that point plus the game winning 3 to seal the championship. He would forever be reveled in NBA history and not just as "That dude from the 90s who Knicks fans love but whose defining moment was going 2-18 in Game 7."

And Ewing would have sealed his should be rightful spot as the era's 2nd superstar behind Jordan by beating Hakeem and winning that ring.

Drives me ******* crazy how history has somehow managed to rank David ******* Robinson ahead of Ewing, when if you would have brought that up at any point during their primes you would have simply been laughed at. Hakeem and Ewing was always the clear 1/2 battle for the dominant center of that era, with Ewing widely considered 1a until the 94 finals, while The Admiral consistently missed the playoffs or was made Hakeem's personal *****.

That's interesting. I'm trying to go back in my mind to remember how I looked at David Robinson compared to Patrick Ewing and you're right, I would probably take Ewing over him, analytics nothwithstanding. But to say that Ewing would have been the era's 2nd superstar behind Jordan. Not entirely sure about that. There are several factors that needed to take place to have a clear cut answer to that. You'd have to take Jordan out of the equation and let the rest of the stars to battle it out. I prefer Barkley, but that's just me. Starks' legacy might have changed slightly had he done better but it still would have been slighted because he did it when Jordan was gone. His legacy will always be him being food for Reggie and Mike. His mouth made things worse a lot more times than not. To this day I cannot stand John Starks. I can't see how people can be a fan of him, but I understand how he may be endearing to them.

Remember seeing Bernard King's name on the MSG list at least twice in the top-5 for most points in a single game.

57 pts. Richie Guerin • Knicks 152-121 Syracuse Nationals, Dec. 11, 1959
60 pts. Bernard King • Knicks 114-120 Nets, Dec. 25, 1984
62 pts. Carmelo Anthony • Knicks 125-96 Charlotte Bobcats, Jan. 24, 2014

sorry for the spam. im just pissed that everyone loves to **** on the knicks. no matter how bad the team did as a whole, we would probably have the 2nd or 3rd worst record in the L if it wasnt for melo

analytical stats suck. I HATE PER and Win shares.

i only brought those up because thats what these analysts talk about these days

you can have a 10 PER and make 82 game winning shots. its stupid.

I know, it's the part of the ESPNization of sports these days. They have to make up these crazy stats to quantify how well you can move your feet possession by possession

. Can you score more points and play D to stop your opponent? I know I'm oversimplifying it but you know what I mean.

Good looks. Love the avy, man.

Edit: "Answer" was my favorite NBA player post-Jordan.

thanks. didnt get to see much of MJ play, but AI was definitely my favorite player to watch. its a shame how he ended his career.
Even worse are the marital problems, alleged financial turmoil, and Iverson's entourage taking advantage during his playing days.

I just hope someone actually sells us a draft pick.

Draft a young guy who can contribute out the gate.

I want Kyle Anderson here. Idk how we would get him, but I feel like he would kill it in the triangle offense. Such a smart/patient unselfish offensive player who excels at taking what the defense gives him, great vision/passer, and a match up nightmare. All aspects that Phil loves for the triangle, and hes the kind of player Phil would get the most out of (kind of like a less athletic Pippen) even though I could also see him being a bust if he ends up in the wrong situation. Hopefully that causes him to slide in the draft, he could honestly go anywhere from mid/late lottery to late 20s.

you know its bad when we have to remenice on knicks glory days :{ but on the bright side at least the rangers got a shot :lol
