I love looking at these numbers and take them into account.  However, one thing I've learned from other forums... These %'s show the # of bets.  They don't NOT tell you the volume of $$$.  So just because a team has a large % of bets, the minority may be pounding them with lots of $$$ which can account for some of the strange line moves.  Just another thing to take into account

Yup you have to take into account the $$$ amounts as well. Usually if you see a team has a high % of the bets on it but the line isn't moving at all (or is moving the other way) that means the "smart money" (large individual wagers) are being made on the other team.

Also I am wondering why I bet Buffalo again after that fiasco against the Jets. I'm honestly wondering if they could go 0-16, they are absolutely terrible and don't have any easy games left other than Cleveland at home

Even though I had a really bad day today, I am glad I bet because I learned a lot today. So many of these lines were so funny looking to me but I just didn't think it through enough... case in point the NO line. Something was up but I just didn't WANT to catch on.

If you can't tell already, this is my first serious foray into sports betting.

GB killed two 3 team parlays for me. Also had a SD/NO parlay which looks dead.

I was so close to taking the Oilers tonight since the site I use (Sportsbook.com) had a free $10 promo for betting $10 or more on an NHL game, but I ended up taking the Kings instead since they were +105.

Managed to lose on DRC's INT return vs the Saints after i teased the Saints down to +3.5

Woulda been perfectly fine with them losing 20-23 but nawwwwww they had to throw that pick and dude ran it to the house cross field through traffic to get to the paint.

That woulda made my day too man smfh.

Limited access to a computer so I wasn't able to stick around, but after a 6-0 start on saturday, went 2-4 in the evening, going 8-4 on that day.

Sunday hurt for me as well. The lines were really fishy and I'm usually all for it, but I went against conventional betting wisdom and lost out.

I've got Minnesota straight up tonight. Could be a homer pick, but I really see them taking this game. They need it and are well rested, especially on the defensive side, where they hadn't been healthy all year. Moss might have 2 or 3 catches, probably for a TD, but him as a decoy this game will completely open of the field for Shiancoe.

Their D will make it hard for the Jets to establish much of a run game forcing a lot of pressure on Sanchez to make plays. He's done well so far, but his magic will run out for the time being.

AP is off to a great start btw. Nothing out of the ordinary, but his huge year continues tonight.

Bumgarner is +135 against the Braves today.  All over it.

Bumgarner has been consistent all year and is on 10 days rest where as Lowe is coming back on 3 days rest.  Giants are the better team right now and +135 is GREAT value.

Good call on that, I was on them and the Blackhawks today. I had to bet the Pens after I saw NJ was dressing only 9 forwards.

for most of the game i was 2-0 (with Jets-4.5 and U3 then late in the 4th was gonna be 0-2 then ended up 1-1.
