I would place the PS2 in 2nd place no question. Longevity, units sold, solid catalog and I think the dual shock was the first controller to rumble.

I was a little late to the party. My younger brother got two GB Colors for his birthday, one from my Grandma and one from my Dad. One came with Red, the other Blue. Rather than take one back, my brother gave me one with Blue. We put so many hours into those games.

People get so worked up about graphics, technology, control/controllers, etc., but time and time again, Nintendo reminds us that simplicity is key.

Switch is the weakest system out here by 2 generations, yet still did out the Xbox One and PS4 and in some regions, outperforming PS5/Series S/X.

All we needed was a dpad and 4 buttons (A,B, Start, Select), and 4 AA batteries to have the time of our lives. I'll always put Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal in my top 5 games ever. That was a time to be alive. Side Note: Nintendo, drop those on NSO already.

All of these JRPGs remakes/remasters, I’m going to try again at beating 12 JRPGs next year.

I recently played through Hollow Knight again. Still have to beat Nightmare Grimm so not quite finished yet. Total playtime across my 4 saves is almost a week . It's basically a perfect game. Hopefully we get Silksong next year.

It's great, but too long for me. I petered out on Switch and PS playthroughs.

Hollow Knight is great but I don’t have the patience to endure all that the DLC has to offer. Hyped for Silksong though.
