Man this Switch is doing CRAZY NUMBERS!!!!

Nintendo was scrambling to meet demand for the Switch when it launched in March (and they still are). Normally they ship consoles by sea from China where they are manufactured, but some units were shipped by air to meet the demand faster.

This is according to a Nintendo spokesperson, who told the Wall Street Journal that “We carried some of the Switches by plane in March to serve our customers more promptly.”

Today, Nintendo revealed that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold 459,000 combined digital and retail units during its launch in the US last Friday.

These sales numbers make Mario Kart 8 Deluxe the fastest-selling Mario Kart title in Nintendo history. The previous record holder for this title was Mario Kart Wii with 433,900 launch units sold.

According to Nintendo, 45% of Nintendo Switch owners in the US bought themselves a copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe last Friday.

The biggest games retailer in the world, GameStop, is selling out of Switch consoles fast. Really fast.

According to GameStop senior director of merchandising Eric Bright, the Switch is selling out “in hours” and that it has been “exceeding expectations” from GameStop so far.

Click on your avatar icon in the upper left corner of the home screen and your friend code is the third thing listed on your profile page.

The 2 item system in Mario Kart really justifies the port, it gets chaotic af and really changes your strategies. They gotta drop that post release patch soon tho, I'm getting hella disconnects online.

BotW: Expansion Pass DLC Pack 1 Detailed

Whether you have completed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or you are playing it for the first time, the Expansion Pass adds fresh content to your adventure. The first DLC pack of the Expansion Pass will be available this summer. Here's a peek at what will be included.

Trial of the Sword
When you get to a certain sacred location, you can take on the new "Trial of the Sword" challenge. Face an onslaught of enemies, one wave after another. Link starts the challenge without any equipment or weapons. When all the enemies in a room are defeated, Link proceeds to the next. Clear all the trials (about 45 rooms in total), and the true power of the Master Sword will be awakened, and it will always be in its glowing powered-up state while usable.

Hero's Path Mode
This new map feature shows the path Link has walked through Hyrule from the last 200 hours of gameplay. Use the time tracker bar to see where you've spent the most time and where you have yet to explore. There's bound to be more adventures and maybe a shrine or two on the road less traveled.


Hard Mode
In Hard Mode, enemies gradually regain health, so take them out as quickly as possible. All enemies are also powered up by one level. For example, Red Bokoblins in Normal mode are now Blue Bokoblins. Enemies can also have higher maximum levels than they would in Normal mode. Look up, and you may also find enemies and treasure chests in the sky!

Travel Medallion
Somewhere in the world, there is a chest with a Travel Medallion inside. When you use this, you can register your current location as a fast travel point on the map. You can only register one location using the Travel Medallion.

More Armor
There are 8 treasure chests placed around Hyrule containing armor themed after previous The Legend of Zelda titles. Watch for tips as to the whereabouts of these chests as you travel around Hyrule.

Korok Mask
The Korok Mask is also hidden in a treasure chest somewhere in the world. While wearing this mask, it shakes whenever Link is near a hidden Korok location. There are 900 Koroks hiding in Hyrule, so this should help you discover quite a few of them.

PIcked up Mario Kart 8 on release day over at GameStop. I'm having way too much fun with this game right now, but I gotta chill and concentrate on finishing out this semester strong. Tough to do when I want to play so much.

Depends on your area. You just have to get lucky really. Last week a lot of retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, Game Stop, and Wal-Mart) restocked for the Mario Kart release. Which is how I got mine.

I highly recommend using Now In Stock to get an alert, If you don't feel like aimlessly running around from store to store .

Anyone drop their switch before ? Mine took a tumble today it was dark I think it fell on the grass and a joy con popped out, I had the hybrid cover on it which I highly recommend for table top use

I haven't dropped mine yet but there was a YouTube video of a dude testing it's durability. He dropped it shoulder height onto concrete like a dozen times and it didn't break (I think a Joy Con did though). I believe he originally thought it broke because the screen was off but it turned out it just ran out of battery .
