Story time...
So UPS screwed me over & sent back my SNKRS pair because the address on the label was illegible (which I believe is complete bullpoop). Contacted UPS & Nike both. UPS is absolutely dog poop, saying that they couldn't stop the return from happening, even though the shipment is still in my city at the facility & that it's their fault the label was illegible since it was going to a UPS access point for customer pickup . Nike was slightly better, just offering me the refund once the shipment gets back to the warehouse. I really hope that wasn't the Lakers pair.
My pair from Moda3 did arrive safely. They wrote a nice little message on the receipt. Pair did come with the long scotch tape across the top to prevent folks from opening the zip bag. Ended up with the Timberwolves pair which ain't too bad sense they're going back to that color blocking start next season. Lace swapping on these as well.

SNKRS pair just came in - also got the Pacer colorway; it was the only pair I wasn't excited about
If that Pacers pair is a 12, I will gladly buy it from you!

How do you see what pair you got without opening the package? It’s not like I’m gonna sell my pair as new if I didn’t get the color way I wanted.

SNKRS pair arrived. I promised one of my students he can rip it open in class on Monday but I did the flashlight trick and I see a green heel and green laces.
The one color way that I DID NOT WANT was the damn Celtics... is there any chance itʻs the Dallas pair?

Yup, my top 3 are Hornets, Grizzlies, Lakers. Just lucky to pull the Lakers pair on the 1 pack just so I don't have to pay resale prices for it. Can get the others for close to retail.

I’m pretty sure the tape is the seal. I got multiple pairs off of different sites and they all had the same exact tape, perfectly straight on the top with no marks of any seal other than the tape. Like 90% of the videos I’ve seen on these have tape on the top. Does anyone have any pictures of a seal on the top that isn’t tape?Got SNKRS pair in today. They definitely tampered with it, no doubt in my mind. Scumbags
It way too easy to remove the tape and it's clear someone cut it from the top

I'm glad I decided to just pay resell for the Laker pair. I don't like the way any of these look with the wear away paint... looks like a crayola collab.

What & how much of what you used to get the pair to look like that? I'm thinking of doing this to my Minnesota pairSNKRS pair was GSW. Bummed I didn't hit Lakers, but like others here, glad it ain't Boston or LAC.
Working on my Memphis pair . Going all the way for that "We got Undefeateds at Home".
The work ain't worth it, but I'm already halfway through one shoe lol.

I went q-tips + acetone.
I am wondering what the best method is. Wanted to be careful to not spread the acetone excessively, but maybe a MF cloth can pick up the coating more effectively. Edges and stubborn spots seem to always bee a problem, though. As it is, I don't know how I'd want to go about the holes.
