hooped in the OGs, loved that they looked like nothing out there! also his MVP shoes... traction was iffy on dusty courts but the sole transition while running was buttery smooth.

Definitely waiting for the black pair. Looks like they updated the tongue and added some sort of padding to them. The OG’s had a very paper thin tongue.

That's what I was thinking! I thought they seemed thicker (for lack of better term), but I hadn't held a pair in so long, I thought I was imagining it.

I respect the idea behind the halo pairs. For me, though, Kobes are indoor hoop shoes and I’m not playing in all white shoes. So the halo release is frustrating for me. Gotta wait until they drop another colorway.

yes, padded tongue is part of the protro makeover on these. also some of the 8 protros have a padded tongue now instead of that heat compressed plastic thing.
