Nike Kobe A.D. Protro - Fall 2026

Who’s making these decisions 😂. I don’t mind these tbh, but they refuse to release the good colorways of all the popular models and instead do this.

I’m just guessing but it seems to me they feel the need to do so because the Kobe line doesn’t have that many models and highly sought-after colorways compared to something like the Jordan line. They’re trying to make the whole line desirable. If they just released the popular models and colorways, they’d be out of things to release in short order.

The line was never and will never be desireable outside the 4-6 and 8s. They have so many colorways of just those alone they seem to refuse to do. Instead they’ll re-Protro the 81pts which were a dud the first go around 😂.

That’s what I mean, but I guess I’d have to look at how many colorways of those we really think are widely desirable. Meaning, if that’s all they retroed, and if they want to keep years between rereleases like Jordan does, how long would that really sustain the line and business for? It could be more than I’m thinking but if you’re only dropping four main models (I’d add the low flyknit 9s in here too, even), you can burn through the vault damn quickly.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying I like or necessarily agree with how they are handling this line whatsoever. I do not. But there’s part of me that can understand at least what they think they’re doing here. Whether it works or not is another matter.
