Do you think the surprise drop meant that resell values will be lower?


I’m by no means an expert in reselling but I think that the surprise drop will have the opposite effect. When release dates are announced ahead of time, it gives resellers a chance to figure out how to get maximum quantities. I’m guessing that because of the surprise, less pairs fell into resellers’ hands. This relative scarcity can only drive the price up. Add to that the fact that these are probably some of the most hyped-up shoes in the history of footwear and you’ve got a recipe for ridiculous resale prices.

Thats both. You're looking at the stockroom and register. If you turned around all the shoes are aligned on both walls.

That's really odd if that's the setup, with all the shoe boxes out in the open like that.  The Flight Club here in NY has their stockroom downstairs away from the general public.

Well not only that, but the NY Store has two separate walls of high value shoes behind glass, and then a general show room of shoes wrapped in plastic.

I can't believe I read EVERY post in this thread...wow...all I can say.  I joined NT recently to get some tips on the Bred 1 release (ISS has seemed to taper off), and haven't seen this much craziness on the web forums since reading some of the SA archives.

My Yeezy story is basically complete.  My pair has successfully made it to FC, and it'll sit there until someone needs/wants it.  I appreciate those earlier in the thread talking about some of the horror stories selling online (eBay/PP), you could have easily saved me my shoes/time/money.  Wished I lived in a bigger area, and maybe could have sold them locally...but just wasn't going to happen here in "the sticks".  I tried my best to rep everyone who recommended this and shared their horror stories. FC was my best bet, so thanks to those who suggested it as the safest method.

Said it when I first got them...this was finally my chance to get a pair of kicks I've been wanting since hearing the backstory and seeing pics. Well...finally happened (stupid size 13).

Hope everyone stays safe, and can find a pair eventually.  Thanks again to everyone helpful in the thread for those of us "regular folk" who got a pair and had no clue how to sell/trade it safely.
