Nike Air Trainer 3 retro's over the years

To those who have both these new Bo Derbys and the recent Medicine Ball release, how do they compare quality wise? I did not get medicine balls, but my impression from most was that quality was pretty weak. I would say I was impressed with how these Bo Derbys turned out. Not excellent but 7-8 out of 10, versus 4/5 like I perceived the medicine ball release a few years back?

At least the shape looks better. Hopefully we'll see some og cws down the line

What are you thinking NIKE.. Retro these right now.. 1988 to 2000= 13 years... 2000 to 2014= 15 years.

WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY OVERDO..

:smh: People get hyped over the wrong crap and Nike follows suit.. Create the hype yourself with stellar colorways and materials.

No offense to the auburn sc highs and the infrared or aqua/lime sc IIs, but sometimes I want something way less flashy. Nike hasn't given me that opportunity in a really long time

^^^^ Wally, great photos, and couldn't agree more. Only reason I picked up Derbys is because it had been so many years since I had a new pair of 3s, but what I wouldn't give for the middle colorway and even the first one from the left! I remember wanting the navy blue and red so badly growing up after I beat my medicine balls to the ground! Oh the days. :smokin

I think my last AT "III" was the obsidian navy 2000 retro purchased around 2010. I sold it after my med balls and regal blues started to harden up. I had the 09 med balls. I just couldnt do it. They werent uncomfortable (same with the 09 auburns. Quality sucks but they arent tough on your feet). I just couldnt get into the color scheme change. I love the 2000 med ball tan color.

Off topic a touch. I wish those air trainer 1 low st's that are out now looked more like this..

Todays safari/elephant print is a joke. So childish looking.

I got tons of photos saved up from over the years, especially catalog scans. Those two googlepages are more about the retro form than originals. I just posted a couple on the top of the pages.

I have the 2003 med balls - quality is awesome and sole, air bubble and leather are still soft!

Interesting. I kind of like those all reds. Probably some collab or gimmick attached to them to attract the vultures. So more than likely a non purchase out of necessity (or lack thereof).

I enjoy the lighter tan on the first retros than the 2009s. Something pops about light tan and navy together... Not so much with brown.

small perf. leather is essential. Nike just doesn't care to change, or FIX what they once had.

The leather on the first retros was also butter soft in comparison to the 2009 pair. I was sad to get rid of those 09s but they just hurt to wear.
