The only people saying prices are going up are the ones that paid reseller prices of $400 and want to give them peace of mind that they didn't get ripped off.

false, i paid retail for all of my pairs and just based off the trends of breds, royals, black toes and shadows it isn't hard to tell what will happen with these. on top of that, of all the 1s i just mentioned, chi 1s have the highest resell out the gate by far.

my theory is that the ndc release will in fact make the price go higher. i think it will be such a small amount released that so many ppl aren't able to cop even tho they had these high hopes and that will actually drive the price higher.

the dude who said NDC has 1000 pairs made the price jump up 20%. Its like when Warren Buffet says something great about a company, poof, stock goes up.

And then someone says these will settle at around $300-$350? Say what? I bet that person doesnt have a pair and is straight up wishing. You'd need NDC to release 100k pairs for any chance of that. And it still probably wouldnt happen.

being as tho i was fortunate enough to get a few pairs, in the event that i miss out on the SBs, i will definitely be making someone's day and trading a pair of chi 1s for them, but hoping i don't have to do that. i'm pretty confident i should be guaranteed at least a pair.

like i said many pages ago, in this climate just as in life, networking is the best way to get what u want. whether it's a job or a mere pair of shoes, often times it's about who u know. that's the only reason i was able to flourish the way i did on this release. had i had to depend solely on raffles and online, i'da MAYBE came out with a pair if i was lucky (which i was bc 1 of my pairs came from a raffle i legit won where i knew no one at the store).
