Nike Air Flight Lite II retro looks to be coming

Stopped at an outlet in Tennessee and managed to snag a nice unwarped double-up for $42. Couldn't be happier!

We must be in a multiverse lol. Nike had this all backwards. B grades to the masses at retail, while the decent quality ones get picked up for $40+ lol. Just might go back for the trifecta

Okay. A bit of a dilemma. I finally got a pair of Flight Lite 2 Black/Whites on EBay. And I think I got sold some fakes. They were released in 2022. So tell me HOW they were MADE in 2023?

I think we figured out that they did a couple of production runs of some of these pairs. I think that's why so many have been randomly showing up in outlets lately. I was at a Nike Outlet about 3 weeks ago and they had a FSR of the white/black/purple pair that was the first colorway to be retroed.

Yes, there were more production runs after the initial release, straight to factory stores.

The symbolism in the Pip + jump man photo is incredible. You got Pip with a smirk, knowin he’s one of the best all time (even in ‘92) and he’s posing “in the shadow of MJ”. MASTERPIECE

I had that pic on the right on my wall in '92 after I cut it out of the Sports Illustrated where it ran as the opening spread of a profile on Scottie. Indeed the story was titled "Out of the Shadow." You can read it here https://vault.si.com/vault/1992/02/...scottie-pippen-has-stepped-into-the-limelight

And then I had to wait 30 years to be able to get that colorway of the Flight Lite IIs I had wanted bad from the moment I saw Pip wearing them. 30. Years. :smh: @ Nike

All jokes aside, Pip was a different type of dude. He was the only Bulls player I liked at the time. But he doesn’t get enough credit for his time in Portland. Jail Blazers had a deep squad. If only Ruben Patterson would’ve shut his damn mouth .

Thanks for that article link. Sheesh that 1991-1992 season and year(s) was some fun times.

That 1991-1992 season. Pip averaged 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assist per game. Overall, he was not a bus rider. His 1993-1994 season was also dope.

Overall, this AFL retro was solid. They could do more colorways similar to the white/green and white/red and I wouldnt even be mad. Drop a white/purple and white/royal Nike,

It was beyond fun. The League was fresh and booming, the Bulls and some other teams were lit and so were the shoes, the posters, the evolving music scene., MTV, etc etc. The last days (though we didn't yet know it) of the pre-internet age but at the same time global communication was at a new level, shows and movies were great, video games were even pretty good and hella fun even if they don't hold a candle, technically speaking, to the games of today. The world felt and was a lot more stable, too, despite the war in Iraq. I'll never forget those days, and they really don't seem like the dark ages to me all these years later. I enjoy and benefit from all the modern tech advances we have now, but sometimes I really do believe it's taken a lot of fun out of the world, ironically.

NBA on NBC was the best.

NBA on NBC was the best.

I loved the theme music

And it's coming back soon as the League returns this season to NBC. Finally. Really wish Marv and the Czar could come back with it, too
Truly, NBC should get those two to do the first broadcast or another game, even if it's just a one-off for nostalgia sake. If they could somehow get Costas and Riley, too, it would be the greatest thing ever.
