Wasn't it painfully obvious he was brought to the Jets to sell jerseys/tickets? That's how I viewed it to be about halfway into the season. Especially when we weren't really using him on goal-line situations, where that was his strength in Denver/college.

No hate towards Tebow. More so the hate is towards the Jets FO that brought him here. Hope he finds success elsewhere, he just would have never panned out for us here. Nothing else to do but to release him.

Being a Seminole fan, I enjoy seeing former Gators struggle, but even I am starting to feel bad for Tebow. I know the Jaguars shut down the idea, but I think its a great match. Hometown kid, increased revenue, more media coverage, but most of all I think he give the Jags a much better chance at winning than Gabbert or Henne.

I know Gerrard is super old but people forget he was a pretty good player in Jacksonville.  Could be a good mentor, like John Kitna was to Palmer or something like that.
