The only way any player coming it actual breaking news is if its a QB and famous QB to be exact. Nobody give a damn about Kerry Rhodes. Now it's America's sweetheart Brady or tebow then you got a story

where is the dropoff for americas attention to this? i know most fans wouldn't or dont care about kerry rhodes like that. But say it was matt stafford or mjd would the average fan care ?i know a peyton manning or drew breed would break headlines but what about those mid tier stars ?

Nope it would have to player that leads a very public life. Ones who's in commercials. A elite superstar would make headlines everywhere. A dude like Rhodes coming out aint **** cause you have to be "in" the public eye to begin with. All in all this isn't important to anyone other than Rhodes and his people.

Info in Jags new jerseys.
1) The leaked image posted a month ago was indeed legit. It showed a replica of the black home jersey.
2) The Jags logo patch on the jersey is facing toward the left because the unis will have a military theme (collar devices and patches in the military face toward the heart).
3) Continuing with the military theme, the players’ last names will appear the front of the jersey under the patch, to mimic the look of a military uniform.
4) The sleeves will have a multi-colored design similar to the what the Falcons have, featuring black, gold, chrome, and teal. In the leaked image you can see the beginnings of some silver/chrome stripe patterns starting on the shoulder area.
5) The jersey will have side panels with some sort of design that will continue into the pants design.
6) The helmet shell will be two-tone — starting out gold and then fading into black.
7) The logo will be somewhat larger than normal for an NFL helmet — think Boise State’s Pro Combat helmet.
There will be an alternate teal jersey.

I don't think it would be a issue it's just a matter of celebrity. Take the Vick situation. If it would have happened to let's say, John Kitna or some other back qb yeah it would have been a story but nowhere near the coverage that Vick got. It's cause it was Vick, one of the faces of the league.
Hell another good example is the post above mine. Now if the post was talking about a team anybody gave a damn about then yeah that's at would garner attention. But it's the jags so who gives a ****.

It's only been two months since Culliver said what he said about having a gay teammate.
Chris Clemons just came out and said it would be a selfish act if a player came out in the NFL.
Should people be care about another persons sexual orientation and if they decide let it be known? of course not, but we dont live in a world where everyone feels that way.

do i care, no.. as long as you are an adult and the other person is a consenting adult, what yall do in the privacy of your own bedroom really doesnt concern me..
however, i am curious to see how it will all play out.. how it will go down with the team (teammates and the organization as a whole).. how society will handle it (media, football fans to every degree.. people who dont even watch football).. etc.
