O man the NFC isn't playing around. Stacked. Wonder if the Packers will uncharacteristically sign some people instead of relying solely on the draft with these signings. Especially if someone like Revis then ends up somewhere like ATL. I have this feeling deep down that the packers will try to snag someone you wouldn't expect like we did with Woodson. Someone like James Harrison.

So based on all the posts, robbery trades are quite common :lol you have to think the Ravens/Niners planned this, , with the Ravens having another WR on their radar, cause there's no way you'd practically give a guy away for free like that, especially after Flaccos contract. Based on just right now, you have Torrey Smith, with Jacoby Jones taking Bouldins spot, meaning the Ravens will actually expect Jacoby to step up, and you know what happens when expectations are placed on him.

I'm sure someone would have given them a 5th.

So why did they trade him for a 6th?

They are lucky they got a 6th for him. He wanted to play for a contender. He wanted more money then he is worth and more than the Ravens were going to pay. He cant separate and he is old and everyone knew the Ravens were going to cut him. Ravens got a gift not SF.

He had a great playoff run but he was basically ready to be put out to pasture before that. At a couple million a year he is worth that but at 4 or 6 million? Hes not a steal for anyone. I wish Boldin was on my team but I think you guys might be expecting to much.

lmao at trading a 5th rounder for someone who's getting cut

if boldin goes to the superbowl for the 3rd time with his 3rd time i see

a cozy seat for him on some nfl show in a few years

How much Dunta got left for KC?

I want Adrian Wilson in Philly. We need an impact safety badly.

Vikings offered a 7th round pick for Boldin. Ravens were basically just trying to get anything instead of just cutting him. This all pretty much happened today. Last night they were still trying to get him to take that 2 million dollar pay cut for this season.

This. Dude made some great plays in the playoffs but he's 32 makes 8 million and had what 900 yards last year.

Same people saying flacco is overpaid are saying the 9ers got a steal and that dont make sense

Crazy how the tables have turned, the NFC West use to be the laughing stock of the league NOT ANYMORE!!!!

I don't think we should be looking at Boldins numbers during the season. Flacco was as inconsistent as it gets and there was point where the ravens where at complete free fall and shouldn't have even made the playoffs. Boldin bailed Flacco out time and time again in the playoffs and they did him dirty. Some of that money towards Flacco deserved to go to Boldin. But whatever I don't really care, Flaccos a chump and I doubt they even make the playoffs. I said it the night the Ravens won the SB that Flacco will open up next year with a 0 TD 3 interception game cause that's Joe Flacco. His contract will make it even funnier. But hey at least they got a Superbowl.

I never realized it until now but every single team in the NFC East needs an impact safety. Makes me miss #21 even more, RIP |I

Reggie needs to come home to So Cal and join the Bolts. We've been missing some
Explosiveness in our backfield ever since Sproles left.

Come back to Cali Reggie :hat

Flacco's cap hit next season is actually LOWER than Boldin's would have been. He signed a cap-friendly deal for the first 3 years, after that 3 years is up Baltimore is going to sit down and restructure his contract. You're dumb if you really thought dude was gonna see all of that $120mil.

So is the $120 Million just for show?

49ers fans and QBs will love Boldin...unlike Moss, he actually tries.

Exactly. If you look at the cap hits over the last 3 years of his deal, those numbers are obviously outlandish:

Baltimore will restructure his deal in 2016, you see this a lot with those big contracts. Someone posted a quote that of all the $100+ million contracts that have been given out, the most any player has actually received is $58 million (Favre). Flacco's guaranteed is somewhere around that so. yeah.

So yeah, it's all for show. His agent just wanted to be able to say that his client is the "highest paid player in NFL history" and rustle people's jimmies.
