So why exactly is Ed Reed being fined $50,000 for his hit on Victor Cruz?

Haven't thought about it all year but I just realized something. Aaron Rodgers has played better than any QB in the league and should be MVP. The reasoning is quite obvious. Unless the Vikings beat us and get in the playoffs then AD deserves it. If its going to go to a QB though it should be Aaron.

This guy :rollin

I'd say Tom Brady has played better than Aaron Rodgers this year.

Eh. Flip a coin. The problem with Rodgers and MVP talk is that there's nothing to mystical about his season, or the Packers' season. For the most part, they've either haven't looked as dangerous as years past, or now, have been flying under the radar. None of that exactly draws attention to the fact that Rodgers should be MVP.

Not saying it isn't arguable, or it isn't deserving, because it is, but the way awards are won can be funny and in this day in age, the media drives a lot of the perception, and in that case, the stories and successes surrounding AP and Peyton are more exciting and everybody loves them some Brady. Hard to see Rodgers winning this year.

And that is why I haven't thought about it until now. Everyone's standards of Rodgers play was set by last years performance which is basically impossible to replicate. I was about to say the other day Rodgers is about to near a 40 touchdown season again on an off year. But it's really not, he's simply just close to having another 40 touchdown year because that's what he does.

Look at Brady's, mannings, and Ryan's division. It's laughable. Where as the Packers are about to sweep a potential 3 playoff team division again. And the lions are by far the best team in the NFL to be last in the division.

Our O-line has been moved around all year w/ injuries. Rodgers has been sacked 2x as much as the listed QB's. He hasn't had a healthy core of WRs all year. He doesn't get near the run support as the listed QBs. Our leading rusher has 400 yards on the year. Rodgers has half that amount and tied for most rushing TDs. He doesn't get the defensive help like others. I'd love to see Manning Ryan and Brady behind our line. They're as immobile as it gets. Rodgers runs for his life game after game but yet we are still about to get a first round bye. But yet he still leads the league in QB rating. And he yet has single digit ints again.

I can see the case being made Brady but teres more arguments to be made for Rodgers. All ik is it sure as hell shouldn't be Manning.

Pretty much, The "story" brings in as many votes as the performances for these awards. AP and Peyton have the better stories in the media perspective.

And Peyton has the better "face" so he'll probably win his 5th MVP :{

I suppose Co-MVP is out of the question?

this.

peyton plays in BY FAR the worse divison in football and has lost to the patriots, falcons and texans . 3 contenders

of all their wins they've only won 2 games against teams going into the playoffs and one was the bengals and they beat

a ravens team thats flaming out

chris johnson got 2,509 from scrimmage with 16 total touchdowns and didnt get a SINGLE vote

receiving

chris johnson 503

adrian peterson 215

rushing

chris johnson 2006

adrian peterson 1898

total touchdowns

chris johnson 16

adrian peterson 11

adrian peterson has 1 game to get 350+yards from scrimmage and 5 td's in order to tie a person who got no votes

Maybe so, but you can't compare seasons just off numbers like that. CJ2K didn't win it. That sucks, but that year has nothing to do with this year. They also lost their first 6 games (perception of doing big things on a bad team) and while they managed to still finish 8-8...Didn't make the playoffs.

What team will Darrelle Revis be on in 2014?

Not a clue :{ , hope it's with us still. It's interesting how his injury this season benefited us:

-There was a chance he could have attempted a holdout going into 2013 had he not gotten injured, but now he has to prove his worth yet again to teams he potentially may suit/be suited by come 2014.
-Jets survived fairly well without him this season, which makes you wonder if he will truly be as missed as we all feel...
