I think you see in that clip both the obvious fact that the line was>>>>> than Alexander himself, but also that he was pretty talented at taking advantage of the huge holes they created for him.

The guy who voted for Brady should have his vote taken away immediately. What a clown.
Alexander was talented. But he benefited TREMENDOUSLY from a HOF left side of the line.
No average player is setting an NFL all-time record no matter how great his line is
So I guess Nick Foles is HOF bound

ZIIIIIIINNNNNNGGGGGG
Wait..what? No one talks about TD??Wait, he still holds the record. He set a record, whether he's alone or not doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter to me, Alexander is as forgettable as Terrell Davis or Priest Holmes. Some good seasons but no one brings up those guys.
Ummm lets see...as stated, OVER 2,000 yards and 21 TDs, league MVP, Super Bowl MVP... Please, SMH at you lumping the legend that is TD with Holmes and Alexander.TD had two great seasons and one good season. That was it. He gets talked about more than Priest or Alexander because he had a 2000 yard season and his rings.
Denver also had a monster line for like 10 years. You could put anyone back there and they were rushing for at least 1200 yards

Cmon man, TD never fully recovered from an ACL tear. You act like he started every game his last three yrs. With TD's bum knees aside, I've never, to this day, seen a RB run the way TD did. It was a sight to see. That 98' season is legendary.TD had two ridiculous years and two good years. He gets talked about more than Priest or Alexander because he had a 2000 yard season and his rings.

Well, Freddie Black wasn't kidding. TD really did sit out 8 full quarters that 98' season. Still amassed 2008 yrds and 21 TDs. Dickerson's record would've been shattered if otherwise.Priest Holmes had 27 rushing TDs one season. That was the record at the time but we'll act like that's not a big deal. Priest had 2-3 great seasons like TD.
Then Shaun ran for 1800 yards + and 27 rushing TDs. He had 3-4 great seasons but he's not Terrell Davis.
All these RBs have one thing in common....they were only great for 2-4 seasons and then disappeared.
TD had the least amount of TDs and yards out of all three of these RBs.
None of these RBs are cracking the top 20. They peaked and disappeared
Right, that's why Denver's rushing attack began to precipitously tail off towards the end of Shanahan's tenure. He was able to churn out passable rushing attacks after Portis was traded from '04-'06 but it eventually caught up and they struggled mightily on the ground his last two seasons because there was never a huge emphasis on landing franchise players at any particular position on the line until his last season when they went and took Clady in the 1st.You still need talent to run schemes.
Houston runs a ZBS and the right side the Oline was horrid this season cause the players weren't that good.
You can hide your deficiencies for only so long.
