He is mediocre at best as a head coach, but I think he will be good as an OC with a running game to work with. After 15+ seasons, it's finally time to inject an offensive identity in this team. Flacco is gonna eat good in the playaction

You're taking a Jets fans opinion on Giants fans and adding it to your opinion as a NJ resident. LOL.

Just one question, why would any REAL Giant fan switch and become a Jets fan? Like, for what reason? Because the Jets were "winning"? You and I must have a very different definition of winning.

There are always going to be fairweather fans in a city like NYC. We have implants from all over the country looking to start anew, including with their sports teams. But as far as true blue Giants fans? You'd be hard pressed to convince me of that. Most Giants fans don't know Jets fans are alive, like beh235 said. That is, until they start running their mouths about AFC Championships and Mark Sanchize being better than Eli, etc etc etc. It didn't even take 6 games to go by this season before the Jets crowned themselves kings of New York. As if having a better record matters. For the most part, from what I've seen, Giants fans don't really care about the Jets. The only reason we ever root for them is b/c we have a mutual enemy, being the Patriots. Moreso, Boston sports in general. And since the Giants aren't in the same conference or division on occasion we find ourselves having to cheer for the Jets, b/c the hate is that deep. I've been a Giants fan 3+ decades and the thought of jumping ship as an option has never even crossed my mind, nor have I ever seen it from anyone whose fanhood seemed legitimate.

So perhaps they do things different on the other side of the Hudson. But over here, it's oil and vinegar.

If that were all you said I wouldn't have disagreed with you JJ. You said quite a bit more than that. And I don't think it makes sense to use your dealings from Jersey to paint a picture of the New York Giants, regardless of how many fans we have in Jersey.

As for Peyton, I didn't even think that retirement would be up for discussion. He's not the kind of guy who wants to go out on top. He's the kind that will stop when he falls below his expectations. After a career year, playing next year was a given to me.

And I don't know about that learning more part lol. That might be a small humblebrag. He can't possibly get better.

Next year was a virtual lock because of how good Denver was this year. If they lose the Super Bowl he'd want to give it another go. If the win, he'd want icing for his cake. Team is just too good to leave and I think he owes it to himself and the franchise to go at least next year. Now if it doesn't work out this or next year I could see him hanging it up for sure with 40 coming up over the horizon. I don't want to see him play till a decline comes but you gotta realize that a decline for him from this year is Peyton in Indianapolis lol. It wouldn't be so bad to endure.

Broncos are going to be nasty as well next year with all those people who are coming back from injuries. Also, if Elway finds a way to work those contracts (Decker, Champ *if he doesnt retire*, DRC *another 1 yr contract*).

I respect dude tho. He was literally a nobody and worked to become a good WR. I know Eli is happy how he developed. That's a case of pulling a WR out of your ***. Nobody saw that coming.

So it's not a stretch to say that Jersey is nothing like NYC, nor are the fans out there much like fans who live in state. Heck a lot of fans from Jersey are Eagles fans.

As someone who lives in the Bay Area and witnesses this first hand, I really dont understand how you can say this.  At all. 

When the Giants were horrible (mid 2000s), they were still in the top 10 and even top 5 in attendance every year.  When the 49ers were horrible (coincidentally around the same time as the Giants), the stadium sold out every single game.  The Warriors, who lets be honest, have been a league doormat for the better part of the last 2 decades, always packed the house and had one of the biggest followings in the NBA.  The Sharks have always had a huge following, good years or bad.

Just because the Oakland A's and Oakland Raider's attendance figures always fluctuate based on how good the team itself is doing, does NOT reflect "all bay area fans."  The fact that you, a Giants and Warriors fan, lump all Bay Area teams together is ridiculous.

Fair enough, and south jersey fans are eagles fans.... The ones right next to Philly.

I just hope to see the Raven's run some screens and crossing patterns now that Kubiak is in, offense has been so vanilla for years. I think we still need another reciever in Mike Evans and revamp the O-Line
