Packers seem to keep falling further and further away from the SB. Need to make some changes and start moving back towards. Rodgers isn't enough to win in that NFC, too tough

I thought this was a great point as to whats held the Packers back from reaching the Super Bowl again.

Basically its saying the trend for the most part has been a team winning a Super Bowl while their QB is trying to earn an up coming pay day. But once they win the Super Bowl and get that pay day it hurts the team from being able to spread the money around to other positions (obviously). Winning the Super Bowl is not just having a great QB but also having the timing right when you're not paying him 100+ million dollars. So teams like Seattle and San Fran are paying Russell and Kap 600k-1million. Which is what allows them to have a top 10 QB and an elite defense. But once their pay day comes will these 2 teams still be able to afford a top 10 QB while maintaining that much talent on defense? Probably not. If thats the case the Packers could be on the rise again once these younger QB's get their contracts.

Although I will say Seattle, Russell specifically, seems like a bunch that would all take a little less collectively to keep their group together. Money always talks though, always. We know Kap is getting as much as he can though so he can add to his sick snapback collection.

Deadspin
New York Jets tight end Kellen Winslow was arrested for alleged marijuana possession in a parking lot last November, but a newly released police report from the incident reveals that smoking weed may not have been the only thing Winslow was up to that day. He may have also been masturbating in his car.

This information comes to us from NJ.com's Dom Cosentino, who unearthed the East Hanover police incident report. In it, the witness who called the police on Winslow explains what she saw:

As she exited her vehicle, she commented to the male regarding how cold it was. As she stood near the open driver side window of the Escalade, she observed the males [sic] ______. She stated that she believed he was masturbating. [The woman] provided a written statement regarding her account.

The report states that when police arrived on the scene, Winslow's genitals were not exposed but that "two open containers of Vaseline" were visible on the car's center console. When police asked Winslow what he was doing, he told them he was just looking for Boston Market, which is our new favorite euphemism.

Browns wide receiver Davone Bess was arrested early this morning at Fort Lauderdale International Airport for allegedly assaulting a law enforcement official. It's been a rough week for Bess.

According to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, Bess was booked on three charges: assault on an officer/firefighter, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. He's currently being held at the Broward County Jail. Not a lot of details at the moment, but we'll have more as they come out.

Update: Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald has the police report. Oh, Davone:

Bess was walking down the concourse "acting irrationally," singing, dancing with his pants falling down. — Adam Beasley (@AdamHBeasley) January 17, 2014

When the officer went up to Bess to have him stop, he crushed a cup of coffee on him, and got into a fighting stance. — Adam Beasley (@AdamHBeasley) January 17, 2014

Officer struck him in the leg with his ASP (his baton?), but it had no effect. Bess then took off his shirt, and got in fighting stance. — Adam Beasley (@AdamHBeasley) January 17, 2014

Officer: "He appeared to be looking through me when I was talking to him." — Adam Beasley (@AdamHBeasley) January 17, 2014

reading this.

and me likewise :evil

Im wondering how many points the Pats are going to put up on Sunday. Just put up 40+ and Brady didnt even lift a finger. Broncos struggled to put up 20 against a trash Chargers team.

Like i said, this game could go either way and i wouldnt be surprised, but with each passing day im leaning more towards the Pats. I mean, they already beat this team this year. Welker looks like he's one blow to the head away from going into a coma. All of the pressure is on Denver .

I'm feeling pretty confident in my SF/Pats prediction. Wouldn't mind if part of that was wrong though :lol

never thought about this

good points

repped :smokin

Once again. Earning over 1000 yards every year of your career is legit. Ain't nothing "falling off" about gaining 1000 yards rushing. Only a dozen rb's did that this year.

Just cause he ain't putting up 2k doesn't mean he's garbage. Still a top back in this league. Just not the best or too 2 anymore.

@ jay02 good read

I wonder how Seattle and San Fran will fair once they have to pay their qbs. That's one of the biggest reasons they're as deep nd good as they are now, they're both paying their qb squat.

4 or so different coaches could have one and I wouldn't have been upset.

KW jr. :{

What's wrong with him?

I know its part of a culture, but picturing Blount driving that joint into the Pats facility has me :lol :lol

I'm rooting for Denver but I don't know if they're physical enough to win this. They were physical last week but I don't know if they can do it again. You gotta knock the Pats around to beat 'em, get Brady to start looking scared like the Giants and Ravens did.

:{ :lol @ that car

Yo what is Davone Bess doing??
Has anyone else been seeing the stuff in the news about him lately? Dude must be smoking some laced weed

At this point he should just leave the NFL and go the Ricky Williams route

Putting up 40+ against the Colts is really nothing to brag about, considering the Colts turned the ball over four times.  And also remember this is the same team that the Chiefs offense hung 44 points on.

The Patriots scoring 40+ on the Colts has absolutely no bearing on this game this weekend.  You are in for a rude awakening if you think otherwise.

Not "bragging" fam :lol I'm not out there on Sundays. Im simply reading the scoreboard. Pats hung 44, TB12 didnt throw a TD. Shows me the Pats can score in other ways.

Broncos pass defense is food. True or false?
