Not trying to be smart but if you know about the history between the Cowboys and Skins, the reasoning for so many fans in D.C. has nothing to do with band wagon fans.
Cowboys fans have been rampant in D.C. for eternity.

Because otherwise they are bandwagon fans, as far as I am concerned.
Same for Pitt and Green Bay fans who have never been to those cities, not trying to pick on the Cowboys.

Dal Was game is not 95% Dal fans. Probably 50-50 which is a lot. Maybe 60-40.
Very few people that live in DC are from or have even been to Dallas. That what makes the rivalry so great. Red skin fans HATE people born and raised in DC but are die hard Dallas fans.

I picked the Cowboys because I liked the star and color combination when I was 5, I live in MD. Because I'm not from Dallas I'm a bandwagon fan?

The better question is how many of them have even been to Dallas? Most of the Cowboys fans in DC have never been and only chose to root for the Cowboys cause the Skins have sucked for so many years or to piss off family members who are diehard Skins fans.
