Browner appeal for substance abuse policy already has been heard. Means he won’t play again for Seahawks. Also a free agent in March

i know that's what was said...but the fact of the matter is that we will never know what they tested positive for. the league doesn't disclose that information. at least that's what i thought, if i'm mistaken, feel free to let me know. but i coulda sworn the league never discloses the official results.

The league can't reveal it, but the players can (if they choose). They just say it's Adderall, because it's a convenient cover-up for what it really was.

Eh, whatever.  I'm not really interested in arguing about that.  I don't know where media sources come from- it is what it is.

Well considering the NFL doesn't test for HGH i don't know what you guys are trying to say he is covering up.

So was dude on the Barry Bonds or what? :lol
Not PEDs as clearly reported.

And yo, the suspensions last year were for adderall, a pill for college kids who want to cram for an exam, let's not get it twisted.

It's probably not a huge deal for the team as 206 said...  Thurmond's been great anyway.  It's sad for us fans who've followed BB's career, he had a tough path getting into the NFL.  His career might be over.

Have you ever worked out on Adderall? It feels amazing and you have to force yourself to leave the gym. Adderall gives you a similar feeling than cocaine. Don't downplay it as a pill for college kids who want to cram for an exam. It's definitely an advantage and I can definitely see why it's illegal. And idk if it was during the off-season or during the season but if he was taking that stuff while playing than that's terrible. If Rodgers played on adderall he would be the definition of unstoppable. Every game would be like his 2010 game against the Falcons in the playoffs.

I downplay it hugely.  My dad and bro take adderall and I was prescribed as a kid (I do not take).  It's not even remotely comparable to cocaine

but that is something that high school kids like to tell one another.

It is a drug that helps people with attention deficit disorder focus.  Personally I didn't take it because I could start watching video games or TV and would find it difficult to tear myself away.

They're both stimulants that put you on another level. Although Coke is amplified much more its a similar feeling. When I would work out on adderall I'd be throwing up 10 more pounds on every exercise than I normally would. Then I would go do push ups randomly here and there just because the pump you get unattainable w/o it. Thats while being off the field. i can only imagine how in the zone they would be on the field. Adderrall shouldn't even be close to being legal. Im not not saying that you think it should be legal but I am saying it shouldn't be downplayed as he just took some adderall. It's an advantage.

Ok, but tons of players are playing with adderall with a doctors note, hell players have been known to pop a viagra before running o the field :lol

That's fine, though it is also true that there are lots of players playing with adderall presciptions. Whatever, I wouldn't argue against the suspensions- what's banned is banned.  Stupid to take anything against league policy, especially after already getting busted for it.

You're right that adderall and cocaine are both stimulants, but of vastly different degrees, like cough syrup and opium.

He wasn't prescribed aderall, it makes you 10 fold when your not supposed to take it, and take it.

Actually medically it's supposed to be the opposite of that.  To have stimulant benefits but not necessarily a positive effect on concentration and focus.

You don't honestly think its that hard to get prescribed this do you?

Disconnected from this football related argument, but just to explain simply-

Adderall is a stimulant that's used to bring people who have trouble focusing to an ideal level of balance where they can concentrate.

For people who don't have an existing dopamine issue it can just as easily push past that level of balance to a place where it is counterproductive.

Yeah...that's not true :lol

But it's also extremely easy to be prescribed. Its legal speed.

I'll just step out and let the internet wisdom take over.

Since adderall is now "legal speed" and "cocaine".

I get the feeling most folks saying that have not tried the drugs they are using as comparables.

look man. i've felt like i've destroyed workouts under the use of adderall. played some of the best basketball in my life on adderall. now think about a professional athlete doing that :x

adderall, for people who don't actually need it, is nuts. trust.

I have to agree with this. I don't know about all that cocaine and speed comparison nonsense, but adderall had me feeling like Mario right after running through an invincibility star. Straight hyper-mode.
