I'd definitely say it was the biggest moment in franchise history. Can't think of a bigger moment for us ever. Was it lucky? Absolutely. Even Coach Dilbert acknowledged that. Anyone that says otherwise is biased af.

I'd say the difference is when Kawhi gets the ball there's confidence that he's gonna do something, he's gonna make something happen. With DeMar there was doubt. Don't get me wrong I like DeMar and he was a good player, but he never had IT.

He did what VC couldn't 18yrs ago
Yeah, this is basically what I thought. Kawhi legit does give you hope. But end of the day, if he ends up just only making it to the ECF like DDR, will he still be held that high, especially if he leaves?

Well Bobby Buzzkill, you been around long enough to know that NT basketball threads are all over the place when there are not actually any basketball games going on.

Either embrace it or go elsewhere until the games resume...

He mad he ain’t getting all the negative attention he craves.

Shot had many parallels to Vince Carters shot back in 2001, 18 years ago, which would have been the Raptors first ECF back then.

Yes, we did make it to ECF since only to lose to Lebron.

Making the finals would be a new territory for the Raptors. If they do it gives more fuel to the possibility of Kawhi staying.

I don't think anyone has any real expectation to win against the Warriors.

If we don't make the Finals and Kawhi leaves, it could get real ugly. Like full rebuild.

My realistic prediction for the next series is Bucks in 7. Bucks in 6 if only Kawhi decides to show up.

Also Toronto is a pretty miserable sports city.

Last title we won was Toronto FC, and they're not very mainstream.

Before that 92-93 b2b blue jays.

Raptors entered the league in 95

Although a hockey town, Leafs haven't won since 1967
I appreciate the response bro but you lowkey ain't really answer my question :lol

unless you're basically saying he's inspiring hope. doing what VC never did is true but DDR also led em to the ECF, regardless of him being trash or not

There aint a single column in the history books for 'luck'. It's either recorded as a make or miss. There's no quantifiers for how many parts of the rim it hit or how it almost came out. It's a yes/no question. Did it go in or naw? Anybody hating on the shot, for whatever reason, looking wild goofy in the light. Great players make great plays. Simple as that.

We took Lebron to 6 in the ECF.

I think we have a better chance to make the finals this year than possibly ever. Giannis MVP and a stud, Middleton pretty good. But they're no Bron x Kyrie x Love.

Kawhi is the most qualified player Raptors have ever had. More accomplished than VC and Demar.

Honestly, I think it depends how we go out if we lose in the ECF. If Kawhi is the only one ballin and we lose and he dips, I'd say ya hell definitely be held in high regard.

I don't see him not showing out this series. He's got that killer instinct in him, there's no way. It's all on the rest of the roster.

My prediction is it goes 7, hopefully in our favor.

Definitely rooting for you guys. Partially for selfish reasons tho, cause I want him to stay in the East :lol

Not sure why dude tryna pull receipts on me like I don’t back my posts with logic lol

Clearly said if Nurse didn’t make an adjustment Sixers would’ve won the series. Nurse did by virtue of Siakam getting hurt and it worked out. Get you panties out of a bunch because people doubted your team, the doubts were valid

Hating?

My guy, I was happy af that **** dropped.

The stage fright them dudes on the Raptors sans Kawhi had yesterday was so discouraging. Bucks may wash them.

enhhh you equated the series victory to luck even though we washed you multiple times.

You had Sixers in 5 or 6.

Let you tell it, it was refs and luck instead of Kawhi putting in an all-time great performance, Old *** Marc Gasol putting the mother ******* clamps on you MVP Embiid, and Ben Simmons going ghost.

Y'all were the better team top to bottom. Better players, better coach.

Y'all had "generational talent" Ben Simmons aka the next Bron. Joel "The Process" Embiid, jimmy butler, almost all-star Tobias Harris.

we had washed as **** Lowry, Kawhi, Siakam, washed Gasol, washed Ibaka, sometimes good Danny Green, and trash af FVV

So yeah I am gonna talk my ****

Yea I had my team winning in 6. Y’all washed us twice. Did it matter, not really since we washed y’all twice. The shot was lucky to fall in, let’s quit the ********. Gasol putting the clamps on Embiid was expected, I’ve said time and time again Embiid can’t win against Gasol in the post so go pull that up since you wanna pick and choose. I stated reasons how my team could win and how they would lose

Talk your **** all you want, but come correct if you gonna pull on me

I agree with the first statement. It was truly sad to see. The one thing I can theorize is that the 76ers starting lineup on paper compared to MIL's is very different, and we might see a more confident TOR support cast

In no way am I saying PHI>MIL, but the star power is different outside of Giannis. TOR might have gotten into their own heads looking across the floor. In addition guys like Simmons, Joel, Butler and even Tobias at times can just be physically outstanding and it definitely showed throughout the series. MIL doesn't quite have that

I have noticed lately that you don’t like anything I say on here lately

IF YOU DONT LIKE ME JUST LET ME KNOW DOG OF LAW

Hating?

no not you, i meant people that cry and talk **** about it being lucky, to you and other toronto fans trying to keep yall from being happy about it and rain on your parade. like it matters.

I know you're not him but here is what your fellow Sixers brethren had to say:
What I love about the Raptors move for Marc is that Embiid always kills Marc but struggles against Jonas

Embiid also always destroys AD but struggles sometimes vs Horford/Baynes. So please be my guest and trade for him this summer, Celtics.
The Raptors traded this dude in his prime for washed Gasol averaging 13 and 8 making $25 mill per year this year and next year

Gasol has scored 2 points in three out of his last five games and is averaging only 5 rebounds in those games as well.

And the funny thing is that I feel like they did the trade to match up Gasol with Embiid...when historically Embiid has always killed Gasol and kinda struggled with Jonas.
So saying it way expected Gasol would put the clamps on Embiid is a bit of a stretch, you're probably the only one I heard who thought that. It was a pleasant surprise, even for me.

Yea idk about that. I said when the trade happened it was strictly for an Embiid counter and it worked

The players I'm most concerned about in the series is Lopez and Middleton. Bledsoe could be an X factor as well.

I fully expect Giannis to be great and unstoppable.

Match ups probably

Lowry - Bledsoe
Kawhi - Middleton
Siakam - Giannis
Ibaka - Mirotic
Gasol - Lopez

I think bucks have the coaching advantage as well
